As for consciousness the jw's are clueless and further more if you talk about such things with one they are highly suspicious and think anything they can't understand may be 'evil' somehow. Not only are they clueless but even researching it would be out of the question.

There would always be a 'but.... what if the person is xyz or does this or that'? they truly have no concept of unconditional love and even go so far as to put a stop to natural affection of a parent and child, siblings and so on (shunning for disbelief even without any sort of so called 'sin').As jhine noted everyone is your neighbor regardless of belief, skin color, etc.... I know my jw is helpful to people but it is how he grew up (not as a jw) his whole family is that way and it is one thing that has stuck so to speak. 2021 Annual Meeting: just more self-exaltation
by neat blue dog inthe annual meeting from last fall had a live audience again this time and a recording of it makes up the january monthly program.
jesus said "everyone who exalts himself will be humbled", and the gb as usual waste no time in exalting themselves over the course of the annual meeting.
during splaine's talk, he says i guess what he thinks is a profound part of the talk outline, and then says "i'll repeat that", and reads it again.

I have forgotten, I suppose it is just 'symbolic' for them? I have yet to find a scripture where jw's will help the Almighty God clean up the earth of our dead burnt up hotdog carcasses -cause everybody knows God needs help with this sort of thing.

Road to Nowhere said, "I am amazed how many dubs really do not watch news."- This really surprises me as my jw is nearly obsessed with news. All the better to justify his belief that things are just getting worse and worse.... Oddly we know Christian folks who barely watch news and feel that God is in control no matter what happens and they merrily go on their way in life without having the bad news of the day dictating their moods with black clouds surrounding them 24/7.
The jw looks for gloom and doom around every corner affecting their general outlook on life while the aforementioned Christians looks for stories of light and love. They see stories of and participate in stories of helping others when possible and see the world in an entirely different light than the average jw. And yes, I hear some odd conversation in my world. While my jw is trying to spread his gloom of the world the Christians will tell their stories and it is like I am living in some weird science fiction movie sometimes. The two opposing opinions seem to be on separate planes of existence or something.

the parents wouldn't appreciate them being able to study Christianity either, they should have said jw-ism, jw doctrine, men in NY or some such other. Why don't the parents home school?
