  Well, you guys keep messing up this "unity" thing they keep bragging about! not just this issue but a quite a few others as well. Seems it depends alot on the elders, liberal or the hard liners. thanks, carla

  Buying Xmas & Birthday Cards

  do any of you find it easier buying porn than buying a birthday card?.

  i have been 'out' for apprx 12 years now and it still feels naughty buying xmas and birthday cards.

  Are Bethelites more likely to leave the JWs than others?

  have you any experience of families whose sons have gone off to bethel and then decided to not have any more contact with their family and jws at all very soon after returning?.

  i ask this question because i know of two families where this has been the case.. the first family had three sons who one after the other went to the london bether to 'serve' within a couple of years of eachother.. after three years there all three returned home completely different people.

  they then left home, left dub land, two married non jws and another lives with his girlfriend.

  JW's on the news WITH a CROSS

  last night i posted about the witnesses being on the news with a clip of the assembly in san diego.. well, when the news actually came on at 10, they had a full news segment on the assembly.

  quite extensive, and even interviewing the chairman of the convention.. here is the kicker:.

  during the entire segment, big bold letters stating jehovah's witnesses.

  Other Preachers at my door!

  this little incident cracked me up, thought i'd share... .

  we live in a decent neighborhood in suburbia, nearly all of the houses are owned, people mow their own lawns, (well everyone except us!

  ) two or three cars per family, dogs, kids, etc.

  I put up sign on my door- NO SOLICITING OF ANY KIND- religious, youths dumped in suburbs, book sales, etc...

  i hit 80 more homes this morn with my brochures!

  i behaved myself and used only the paperboxes.

  those large sunday papers make such nice holders for these.

  Oh, I'd say less than 40 min. walking a good clip. Also, not using mailboxes made it go a bit slower, some people don't have paperboxes. I've been meaning to get back to walking anyhow. Maybe I should start a 'walking club'?! The madder I get the faster I walk! carla
