  i have just talked with the wtbts service department at 718-560-5000.. you can contribute for hurricane katrina relief efforts through your local kingdom hall and put your donation in the contribution box marked for the world wide work.

  you may also send donations directly to the branch office... to the brooklyn address.

  donations should be marked for the world wide work and not specificically reserved for relief efforts.

  Oh, I meant in response to Katrina. I thought they didn't beg for money like the churches of Christendom, only have a little box in the back.

  Funny, husband & I were just discussing the Red Cross & other charities. Then I mentioned that now the scam artists will likely be out soon. And that there are even a few 'charities' telling people not mark their checks for hurrican relief, but instead let the charity decide how it will be spent. Got a few tsk,tsks out of him on that. Wonder what he will say when I finally tell him I was talking about the WT and even called them myself!

  I just called- Got the service guy-asked him if he was accepting donations for the hurricane- he told me directions for that was in the July Kingdom Ministry page 3 (did he say 2000?! couldn't quite understand him there.) carla

  first question is - husband says that god will establish a kingdom ruled by jesus (or should that be michael?

  ) then jesus turns it back over to god.

  how's that?and what then becomes of jesus?

  50% Printing capacity Spin?

  apparently, some remark was made at a district convention that the society's new facility is only running at 50% capacity.. it was hinted that this is because some great increase is being prepared for.

  now, i know , from talking to a bethel elder of long.

  standing that the society's massive downsizing of printing in brooklyn involved sending off equipment to other countries , as well.

  If they are printing in other countries, do you think there will be differences in the wt from the US and other countries? Wouldn't it make it easier to have changing doctrines or even slight differences? carla

  First question is - Husband says that God will establish a kingdom ruled by Jesus (or should that be Michael?) THEN Jesus turns it back over to God. What? How's that?And what then becomes of Jesus? How the heck to they arrive at this? (doesn't 2Peter 1:11 say Jesus' kingdom is eternal?)

  Second question is- with so many references in the Bible to a NEW Earth & Heavens, (see 2Peter 3:10-13 for one example) why do they insist it is somehow going to be 'rebuilt' or cleaned up by jw's? Do they not understand the definition of 'new'?

  Family tragedy.........HappyDad

  got a phone call from my daughter who lives in florida a couple of hours ago.

  her significant other who i chose to call my son-in-law (because he is the best thing to ever happen to her) got a phone call that his 6 year old daughter was killed in an auto accident near lake placid, florida and his 5 year old son is in very critical condition.

  the ex wife is also critical.

  i was disfellowshipped and i posted about it here.. i wrote an appeal letter, and wrote about it here.

  so, i just got home from a weeks vacation, i was home for 3 hours.

  Are you sure they won't try to use you as a poster boy for "see, we don't df people who come forward with abuse cases?" That would be my worry. You are already a public figure in the abuse story on jw's. Careful they don't turn this around you. So what is your next step? Mess with a few heads in the kh? carla
