  my brother (who is a witness) has been married for 8 years.

  he and his wife (also a witness) got married young, but he never really tried in the marriage, but she also lost his trust early on.

  he says that it was his fault though because he pushed her away.. anyways, he met this new girl (not a witness) and told his wife that he wanted to separate.

  What do I know? I am not a jw but all the stories over the years it seems to me to go this way- guy commits adultery, gets df'd, sits in the back of the kh with his new honey for a year, gets reinstated and all is good again. Unless, the guy is not liked or has no standing in the kh, then he will remain a leper for years and his new honey will also be a leper and they will have no real friends in the kh. That's how I see it happening over the years.

  If they both know how to turn on the crocodile tears that would be really helpful for them in the long run.

  interesting report in a oxford university blog - the world is becoming less religious, (hurray!!!).

  I hear a lot of people say they are not religious but they are spiritual and have strong belief in God & Jesus. They do not adhere to man made religions anymore. I think it was C. S. Lewis who said something to the effect that just because you stand in a garage it does not make you an automobile, sitting in a church week after week does not make one a Christian either.

  I have not seen any reports from the wt about using aborted fetal cells in vaccines, do they have a stand on this? just a few quick google links in case you were unaware of it-

  you are what she wanted to be!please, let us remove any blame to anyone right up front.

  what happened to petra was not the fault of mark o'donnell, listener, corney, mike and kim, or anyone else.. constant rejection and shunning even at an early age, the depression was storing up inside of her.

  she was shunned inside the hall and outside the hall.

  As a ubm I told a ms and an elder (separate occasions) to f-off, go to heck, and probably a few other things. Yep, sounded like a sailor (or satan I suppose) and I don't even swear that much in normal life. The crap was hitting the fan with my jw just joining up and I was a bit out of sorts. Odd thing is the elder I swore at seems to have gone missing, my jw in a rare short discussion (we no longer talk about anything jw related) said the guy isn't around anymore. I asked where he went and my jw said nobody seems to know. Maybe he is on this board now?

  It's like the company store of old when people had no choice but to buy from the company store and become indebted to their employer. jw's have no choice but to 'buy' the litter-ature and just because all jw's click on the pages doesn't mean any new prospects are doing so. I suppose even ex jw's could be a large portion of those who give the org 'clicks' when doing research. "...most loved magazines of Christians"- I don't know anybody who considers jw's as 'Christian'.
