I have in the past and probably will in the future, but due to my recent piercings and tattoo, i have to wait.

Hey, you are younger than me, you can't be having "senior moments" just yet.

Green;
Problems, I don't know for sure. I've moved and faded and it has been some ten-plus years since I've been in a Kingdom Hall™, but after reading some people's stories on the board I figure why create a whole new mess of problems. -

Thanks, Ticker, I've been around for a while, I just don't speak up too often.

who attends a church now?
by meems101 in.
i'm interested in knowing how many, after leaving, started to attend a church.
if so, what one and how did you decide?

I have yet to address this. I still feel like I would be replacing one religion with another, again based on impulse. (long story for elsewhere)
I do feel like going to different churches though, just to get that sense of ritual and power. -

The lives of some JWs. so happy to be out!!!

One of the great things about being out is the difference in the kind of friendships you have; I have people in my life now to whom I can confide just about anything.
With only one exception in all my years among the Witnesses™, I always felt guarded, remaining at a superficial level of friendship because I feared somebody might take what I thought aloud and go tattling to the elders™. Especially after one District Assembly™ where they hammered home the idea we were responsible (read; bloodguilty) if we kept someone's "secret sin™". -

In love with a JW, HELP!!!
by secretlove in14 years ago i was a sophomore in high school and fell head over heels for a senior (we'll call him mike) who wasn't really in to me.
i was raised catholic and he, a jw.
i wrote him lots of notes, sent him teddy bears and tried to win his heart.

Every time I would ask him what he was thinking he said, " I can't say or it might get me in trouble."
I say run. If you are unhappy in your marriage then move on if you need to and find someone who can be open and honest and share their heart fully with you. -

Jehovah's Witness skating parties were da bomb!
by PaNiCAtTaCk inwas this just a local arkansas thing or were jw's everywhere getting jiggy at the skating rink?
we used to have awesome skating parties and witnesses from 150 miles away would come sometimes.
or sometimes we would drive that far to go to one.

Yep, every other Sunday or so way down in So. Oregon we skated until the early 1980's when the elders™ started making noises about big parties getting out of control.
When they took away the skating rink, we took to the dark, isolated woods to hang out...
