how about the yearly (or monthly) insurance premium that must be payed by the congregation to, you guessed it, the wtbts.
the congregation pays to build the kh.
The bOrg seems to keep a lot of it's investments in land, property etc where they are guaranteed a steady rise in assets and the money from that comes only from contributions. That's one big investment and though not personally owned by the GB they're guaranteed a 'wonderful life' by the steady contributions from the rank and file members.

there have been posts here that indicate the kh building work may be slowing in the u.s., and that there is consolidation of the congos going on.
if that is true why don't we see the society's published numbers on the decline?

I had the nickname ''Midwich Cuckoo'' at school - my avatar is a Midwich Cuckoo.
JW used to smoke - I remember smokers were given 6 months(?) to quit in the 1970s. New light? I suppose as WE begin to understand what is good and bad for our bodies then YES. BUT, as pointed out, we now understand what a healthy diet is - so MANY JW are abusing their bodies by not exercising self control in that area!
