If it were my parents, you bet I would. I'm not about to let anyone tell me I'm not good enough to be there. I figure I have just as much right to be there, if not more. Then, when it was time to do the headstone, a cross- or something might have to magically appear!!! And who knows, a keg party to celebrate their life at the gravesite!

what has the watchtower really done for this world?
by JohnHag ini would really like to know the answer to this question--after me beeing in there for 32 years i still dont know what they have done to better the world---they leave as fast as they come in--if it was so great in the watchtower why did they leave?
there are only 6 million jws in the world--there is 6 billion in the world--all i have seen is a bunch of people like zombies---their answer to everything is field service----never call on a person that has doubts--maybe in a year they might call on that person--they rather knock on not at homes--looks better on the time sheet-it took 32 years to find out i wasted my time--too late now--sixty nine and counting--thanks for letting me share--the hag

Sorry greendawn,
I have to respectfully disagree on that they helped create more stable family lives. Where I grew up at they demolished family ties, creating chaos. I don't know of any who had "normal famlies". They seemed to thrive on dividing families. They have allowed pedophilies to hide among them. The victims are victimized AGAIN by WBTS. Encouraged not to seek help. Alot of times the blame is placed on them. I'm just speaking from my own experience.

Why don't JW's list THEIR invitation?
by Golden Girl ini always wondered why the jw religion doesn't list their location and invitation to their meetings in the local "church and worship places section of our paper?.
i was told when i was a jw that it is because they are no part of "babylon the great".
i settled for that.. .

In Missouri where I grew up they were listed in the white pages under Jehovah's Witnesses. It gave the presiding overseers # and usually another elder's #.

How about a Apostate-tail-gating party?? Don't forget the grills and endless supply of coolers full of anything but shasta! Could do some face-painting & chest-painting. Leave them with some silentlambs material. If they can leave material everywhere, we can too! Maybe get some wanted posters of phedophiles--who knows, they may even be there at the assembly hall! That's public info! But it'd sure get someone's attention.

I had my daughter 2 years after DFing. She was the first grandchild. My mom got "a talking to" by the elders for being there. Afterwards, she'd come to see me, but couldn't tell anyone. At the same time my stepdad would come and check on us, but we couldn't tell anyone. Neither one had a clue about the other!

an organ when ready for transplant is "drained" of it's blood.

The look on their face was priceless! Of course, it kinda slipped that I had spent many years in their world. My supervisor knew what was going on and when they tried to get me in trouble they were told not to be seen in the ICU again. With their plastic suites on they just looked at security like they were above it. The parents were so thankful that it was taken out of their hands!
The only thing that tops that was 6 years ago, I had a JW 4 yr old with luekemia. She needed blood to live, no question. The young couple was overrun with elders telling them what they could and couldn't do. After explaining how in the past, parents were encouraged to take the child and run. Of course, I couldn't keep my mouth shut. (Imagine that!) The parents only wanted whatever it would take to save their child. I spoke with the doctor, who got the legal department on it. Three hours later the hospital had guardianship. The mother thanked me later. But we had to get security to be outside the room for several days to keep all the elders away that were there, trying to make trouble for the young parents. The elders tried to get me and the doctor in trouble. Of course, that got them no where except for looking like fools who didn't care if the child lived or died. They really made asses out of themselves.

My stepdad was asked to step down because I was spending more time in elders meetings than I did anywhere else. I was "bad association" and no one could do anything with me. At 16 I told my parents I didn't want to be a JW. Of course that wasn't too long after I was baptized. Which I only did cause it was expected of me. He was promoted after I moved to my real dad's and was DF'd. Keep in mind during this time he was sexually molesting me!

I've been giving blood several times a year since I've become a nurse. I always love getting the "I gave blood" t-shirts! I think it would be appropriate wear for an assembly, don't you???

I had the great pleasure of throwing 2 elders out of ICU 3 years ago when that question was raised by an anal-retentive elder who was grasping at straws. My patient was a 7 year old getting a heart transplant. They did everything to harrass the parents. Instead of being supportive, they were drilling them about procedures and what ifs. Making their life hell. When I let them have it, they threatned to get me in trouble. Of course, I couldn't keep my mouth shut about already knowing their believes. They tried to get it so I wasn't his nurse. It all backfired on them. What was great was calling security and having them escorted from the hospital.
