we found out that she has pancreatic cancer that has spread to the liver and blood vessels.
she opted for chemo.
although we have good insurance, we still have to pay quite a bit towards the $17000.00 bill every three weeks for treatment.
I'm so sorry to hear what you both are going thru. My stepmom, who was a mother to me died 2 years ago. It brought out the worse in everyone as soon as we buried her. Now I don't speak to any of them. Not my dad, sister, or stepsiblings.
Have you considered hospice? Not just for your wife's sake, but also for the family. They have couselors and alot of resources available. There is no cost to anyone. They can also help with some costs. Just a thought.

Where are you? I'm in Columbia. But I grew up north of here, near Renick. That's where a couple I knew was killed. We got the winds, hail, and everything else. Tornado sirens went off so much!!

Where I live, here in tornado alley is what I call it nowadays, we are suppose to get bad weather in a few hours and then again sunday afternoon. Has long as it isn't like it was 3 weeks ago, it'll be good.

After working the ER for many years, the nursing profession thanks all that give blood. I've seen sooo many times the lifes it as saved.When I donate blood, I have the fantasy that my apostate, pagan blood may be the blood that flows thru some JW!!!

we have friends that are jws and we want to know how best to deal with them.
some are constantly giving us literature.
I left for many of the same reasons as everyone else. Also, my stepdad, who was a ministerial (spelling sucks) servant, had been molesting me for years. I was raised in elder's meetings. That's where they drag you when you have done something they consider wrong. There, they drill you like you were in the army. If it has anything to do with sex, they want ALL the details. When I left, and many years afterwards, I turned to drugs, suicide attempts, and anything that is self-destructive. My marriage failed because I couldn't trust. Plus he was an ass. I'm still battling demons everyday. There are days and nights when the only thing that keeps me going is my family here, and on another board. They are my link to sanity.
