If God's sense of justice allowed Him to kill Eve for her disobedience and create another woman, why didn't it allow Him to kill them both and create another perfect couple? He can't have it both ways. Well, maybe He can...He IS God (allegedly). Maybe because Eve was just a bit player in the Grand Scheme Of Things? Replaceable? Because the human race would inherit imperfection...or perfection for that matter...only from Adam? I don't want anyone to call ME chauvinistic again.

I've never heard this addressed before. According to the WTS, Joe Hoba didn't destroy Adam and Eve when they sinned, because that would have only proven His power...that He could destroy that which He created. He allowed them to stay alive and multiply so that He could prove the rightness of His rule and to answer Satan's criticism. He also sent His son to earth to redeem imperfect mankind from sin and death. So, how would He have worked things if Eve had sinned and Adam had remained perfect? Killed Eve or allowed her to die and created another mate for Adam? What would that prove? Allowed them to procreate? Would their offspring be imperfect, since sins are handed down by fathers? And what if Eve had remained faithful, but Adam had sinned?

Intl. Bible Students, a question..

recently, i've been reading through the international bible student's website.

i really like it and i'm reading as much as i can in order to get familiar with them.. however, i don't understand where exactly they came from.

they mention the name "charles russell" often and they also have some pictures of him on their site.

Isn't it amazing how little modern-day witnesses know about the history of their own organization? And how intensely they are discouraged to learn about it? You'd think an organization founded on Truth; an organization which claims to be the One and Only True Religion, would be extremely proud of it's history and accomplishments. Makes you wonder......

The killing of Job's family...

i'm having a conversation with a couple of people in my office as i type this.

i'm asking the question "why did god allow satan to kill job's family?

" i told them that to say he did it to prove job's faithfullness and that he got even more in return for his faithfulness is not a good enough answer.

Whether Job remembered or not is not the point. The fact is, according to the account, human beings were killed by God just to prove a point in the little poker game He was playing with Satan. It's not whether Job forgot about his dead family or whether he recieved more in compensation. Innocent people were killed. The entire Bible is full of stories about God ordering and condoning slaughter and murder. Your God Of Love places little value on human life.

Why are men so bad?

sometimes i'm so ashamed of being male - .

why are men responsible for most rapes, paedophilia, pornography, abuse, criminal behaviour, war, bullying etc..?

if women (on average) were as physically strong as men would they be responsible for 50% of the above or is it something to do with men?

I am not putting down women, at all. My point is that is that man's achievements and contributions far outweigh his faults. You might as well ask "why are German's so bad" because of some German behaviors and attitudes 60 years ago.

The title of this thread sickens me. Why are men so bad? Men are great. Men have improved the lives of all human-kind. Men are capable of evil and cruelty, true, but men have also given the world and it's women gifts beyond measure.
