  Most Hated "True Stories"

  i was inspired by the "most hated analogies" thread.. a brother giving the public talk one sunday told the most ridiculous story.

  i couldn't even swallow it when i was "in.".

  i'll try not to laugh while i'm typing this.. once upon a time, in a land far, far away... someone planted a bomb in a kingdom hall.

  Did anyone ever hear the one about Clint?

  Apparantely he was some ring leader in a gang in America, evryone was scared of him, then he started studying and making progress.

  One day he was at the meeting when he got a phone call from one of his gang members saying he had to go somewhere really quick as there was a gun fight going on, so he waited till the end of the meeting, prayed to Jehovah about it and then went to meet his gang.

  He found them in a gun fight with another gang, so he went and stood in between the two gangs and started quoting various scriptures and being all witnessy, and in the end everyone put down their guns and eventually a few became brothers.

  Sorry if I'm stateing the obvious here but if it was divine intervention that saved so many from being killed then why didn't divine intervention just stop the bomb from going off in the first place?

  Eureka I think I've got it!

  i was sitting here facing yet another box of jw books.

  most of them were older books but 3 were those new paperbacks they are putting out.. so as i'm sitting there tearing these sad excuses for doctrine i was wondering why the society would change their format.

  after all, they have been printing their books for eons and they are so easily recognizable.

  I'm ashamed to say it but yes I have smacked my oldest daughter a few times, its always been as a last resort, when I've tried every other means to disipline her and shes still being naughty, but it makes no difference, its wrong to smack a child, and I still feel so guilty now even though the last time it happened was Christmas.

  I've been reading self help books and I've discovered 'Ignore bad behaviour, reward good behaviour' and it really works, well atleast for us anyway.

  Oh by the way, when I say I've smacked her I just mean a single slap to the leg, I've never beaten her.

  glittery/shiney things esp.

  clips.. snowballs - i love them & have a little collection going.. big white towels - esp after a hot bath - wrap yourself up in pure luxury.. small handbags.. the small of a mans' back.. what are your favorite things.

  She Cut My Radishes Into Roses!

  sorry for not posting much lately, but i have been doing really well with the old jw issues until now.. i am in tears tonight because of a memory i had of my childhood.

  i used to open up my lunch-box at school and find my mother had sliced my radishes to look like rose petals.

  wasn't that a really loving thing to do?

  Thats very sad and I feel for you, I hope that you can try the letter thing as I'm sure you will always regret it if you don't.

  I also suspect that your mum doesn't love her god more than you, shes probably just hopeing that one day you will return to the religion.

  being a chubbier woman most of my days - i've only known who i am in this body.

  i've now taken steps to reduce my size (i'm taking this seriously - i've decided to slim down & now "own" my number).

  i've always been a confident person, regardless of being chubby.

  Who Do You Miss in The Troof?

  i am out now four years.

  i have not had contact with anybody in the troof except my ex in that time.

  he kindly was emailing me and even had me over to collect my personal baby pictures and those of my parents who are both dead.

  I miss my niece, shes the kindest most lovliest person I have ever come across and shes so unhappy, I want to help her but she won't speak to me.
