How did that happen Wombat? Or how did you find out? (or is it personal?, if so don't worry).

switched at birth
by Ellie inhave any of you seen the story on the news today about the 2 thai children that were accidentely switched at birth?.
they are 10 years old now and their families have decided to let the children decide if they want to swap back again to live with their biological parents.. what would you do if you had a child and discovered that they had been switched at birth?.
would you want to keep the child you had been raising or would you want your biological child back?

im hurt, desperate, confused and considering this religion - advice?
by very_confused inlike the subject title says, i'm hurt, desperate and confused and don't know what to do anymore.
i'm so desperate to have something to live for that i'm considering converting to something like the jehovah's witnesses.
i know this might seem a bit extreme but please hear me out.

Hi Very Confused, I'm really sorry to hear about your depression, it sounds like you are having a very hard time of it, and really I can't offer you any advice as to how to feel better but I would like to warn you against the JW religion as the religion on its own has often led people to depression and other mental illnesses.

For the food we our about to eat...
by Ellie in.
it seems odd to me that people thank god before eating, thanking him for providing the food, because it seems like common sense that if he provided us with this food then he failed to provide all the starving people with food too.. does anyone else agree?

what do they think of none jw
by the devil 666 incan anyone tell me what do jw think of the family of none jw .as most of you know my daughter is a jw and it now seems to me that these so called people are telling my daughter not to have any contact with her family only with them.
if this is true why are they doing this and why is she doing what they are telling her.

Maybe because they believe in God and Jesus and don't want her to have any association with the devil

I don't feel bitter or resentful towards the watchtower, more towards my mum who was a witness, like I'm not happy with the way she treat me due to her beliefs, but also qwuite scared that I may treat my own kids the same way.
I'm also quite intrigued by it all, and find the gossiping on here good entertainment.

Well, I live in Wales but next to the ferry port where ferrys go over to Ireland, and I go to Dublin quite often.
You really should check it out, its a lovely city with a lot of history, and the people are very very friendly.
