  What's the longest you ever kept a pet?

  my cat is going on 13 in april.

  i guess that inside cats can live up to 17 or 18.. i never had a same pet for that long.

  i keep them t'il they die.

  Not long really, I bought a rabbit for my little girl a while ago but it escaped, then I bought her a dog which she was accidentely cruel to, we realised she was too young for a pet when she threw it down the stairs (she was only 2 at the time) so we got a cyber pet but it kept making the computer crash.

  I would love a new little dog but might wait a while.

  Why are friendships important to you?

  my teenage daughter is out with her friends so i'm alone here tonight, but not lonely.

  conventional wisdom suggests that a solitary life isn't healthy.

  friends and close relationships help people live longer.

  You have your daughter, I'm sure she is a close friend to you.

  I don't believe people need lots of friends, just one or two people close is plenty.

  i am trying to build a list of hipocrisy with in the borg.

  i dont mean things like the un scandal as people in the hall wont have heard of that, but smaller stuff that goes on all the time with out the rank and file noticing.

  I suppose it depends on the congregation but in my local halls the girls wear very tight, revealing clothes, while telling everyone they should dress modestly.

  australia has a severe shortage of skilled workers and is targeting brits - very successfully.. last year nearly 100,000 brits moved here.. the australian 4 feb... "the big lure wasn't economic..it was a new lifestyle and better opportunities for the kids.

  and the big sweetener was the exchange rate.

  prospective workers owned homes worth about (pounds)160,000 to 190,000, or about $450,000.

  Its just a shame I don't have the skills needed or else I'd be straight there.

  I did try to move over once before as my mate lived in Brisbane and her mum would've given me a job but it didn't work out so I'm stuck here in the cold instead.

  Help!

  okay am i the only one that has noticed how many people have shown up here during the last week or so asking for advise regarding dating a jw?

  so whats the best advise you have to give people that are dating witnesses?.

  post it here.. mine would be.

  Perhaps find out as much 'apostate' information as possible and challenge the witness on it, that way you could find out for sure if the witness really wants the religion or not, if they don't then great.

  Rather than just walk away from the witness who they are dating, give them an ultimatum, atleast then there is a chance they could stay together.

  Moslem world outrage over cartoons of prophet

  a few months ago, a danish newspaper printed a set of cartoons about mohammad, the most important prophet of the moslem religion.

  a few weeks ago, a small norwegian newspaper followed, and also printed the drawings.

  moslems all over the moslem world are now rallying against both the newspapers and the danish and norwegian governments, which they hold responsible for this.

  in my case i made my decision without ever looking any of this websites.
