  607 and 586 are 31 years apart, so adding 31 years to the witness timetable makes the end of the gentile times 1945. i guarantee you that if this happens, the watchtower will try to tie in the end of world war ii to this.

  they'll say that the world wars were a culmination of the old world, a conclusion, and since there haven't been any world wars since (fingers crossed) that proves that we are now living in the last legs of the old system of things..

  Danny's parents were extremists as you say Minimus. But there are many of them in the organization...and in many religions. And like the others the Watchtower does not discourage extremism. The extremists set an example and put pressure on the others for the Watchtower.

  Actually we were a typical family of Watchtower society cult fanatics in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses Bridgewater Massachusetts ca 1955-1970 this was the 'better dead than red' cold war cuban missile crisis,malawai like tortures to come to us era which played well into an apocalyptic frenzy.The Watchtower had years to go before it's prophecies would fail and ruled us all with an iron fist.

  It was like the oppressive dark ages the Watchtower Jehovah's Witnesses puts a lot of folks in mental health crisis,back then you were discouraged to seek out worldly counseling or therapy.I can remember the year 1990 when I heard my first public talk on the benefits of psychopathy it was now o-kay to go to a shrink,the Watchtower new directives are always a reaction to failures.

  The less seriously into JWism the parents are the better it will be for their children.

  So true I have seen it.My Haszard clan recruited in 1951 was hard core devout all the way we sacrificed everything for the Watchtower.The first time I saw a color TV was at a home in field service,we had B+W for 15 years after color debuted.Never got my crooked malformed teeth straightened cause the new system was coming in 1975.I was in second grade 7 y.o.when president John Kennedy was murdered and endured brutal persecution and beatings in school during that time.

  All the fringe 'wishy washy witnesses' my peers who never got baptized and couldn't be Dfed have thrived.Online dub apologist have the gall to blame my parents for being too strict,they were only following watchtower indoctrination.
