i am puzzled, i see a lot of new posts from supposedly active jw's passing out new tract and don't believe it.
i can understand still attending meetings especially if family is still involved.
why not just fade away?
lol, i "dropped the ball" and havent been bothered in about a month and a half. I know that the time will come when i will be confronted and have to "explain" myself.
I'm deciding if i should use depression or school work though. lol.
But yeah, when i was active I never went on returns and i gave such a crappy, generic field service presentation that only someone who had problems with saying "no" would take the magazine.
how much should a man tolerate a girlfriend or wife that is very demanding on clothes/shoes and other articles such as perfumes, handbags etc?
is there a limit to what one should spend to keep them happy beyond which it becomes a case of them taking advantage?
I have a no accommodation policy, lol.
My last girlfriend came from a much more affluent background than I so she ended up buying me everything. Not that i was complaining .
Maybe i should call her up :-D.
the thread on how long it took you to get out of the organisation made me think.
i honestly think anyone that spends more than half an hour per day on anti-jw sites like this is, psychologically, not out of the organisation at all, despite their best protests.
the watchtower clearly still fascinates them to the point of an obsessive, compulsive need to frequently post on this website and others.
As time went on, i've spent less and less time on the boards. I get these brief stints when i'm on here at least once a day, but then back to once a week or a month. I guess it will be one of those things that will stick with me for the rest of my life.

The trailer is a documentary about the pedophile priests. I thought it was ironic how witnesses still deny that their organization has child molesters who are active members, ministerial servants and elders.
I thought after dateline episode the WTBS would keep its mouth shut about this subject.
jehovah`s witness`s have a lack of real appreciation for life..no birthdays..no christmas..no need for education..no need for charity..little interaction with the outside world..shun family and friends..allow friends and family to suffer because of ever changing rules and policies of the wbt$..very little love for anything outside the wbt$..jehovah`s witness`s believe they will live forever..does believing they will live forever make them less appreciative of the life they are wasting?...outlaw
It all comes down to their belief that all of this means something. Like they'll get a second chance so they can forfeit living a joyful life now. I just feel sorry for them now, a part of me hopes they never learn that they did it for nothing (unless they are leaving the religion of course).

LOL, I'm seriously considering the Jehovah's Witness Idea. I already have the suit, the bag and the literature, i'd harass everyone at the party about the pagan origins of Halloween and the wrongs of Overdrinking and "hooking up" .

when i joined the jws, racial issues were not really discussed much, other than some mention in the material given to me during my bible study in the "truth" book.
our kingdom hall had only one dark skinned individual, who is portguese, and one of the anointed.
i believe that he is now deceased.
Of all the faults of the WTBS, i cant say that i've experienced racism in the org. I have met a couple of white brothers that were pompous or condescending, but i've met an equal amount of black brothers who've done the same. What I have always found to be offensive is the fact that the organization never fought against segregation, but opted to allow segregation within the congregation. There isnt a doubt in my mind that there was an increase in field service in black communities after the civil rights era. What i will say is that i think its kind of strange to be in a district where 90% of the witnesses are black, but they only make up 40% of the population. When i was little, i'd look at the awakes and watchtowers and wonder why our congregation didnt have whites, asians and indians. I know this may sound stupid, but until i was about 13, I thought that maybe there were more black witnesses than there were whites as a whole. That probably isnt true, but i'm pretty sure that there is a huge discrepency between the ratio of white:black as a population in the US to number of white:black in the org.

Jehovah's Witnesses really arent allowed to have friends outside of their organization. Unless it deals with bible studies, Jehovah's witnesses are told not to associate too closely to those who are not.
She probably really did enjoy your company, but thats how it is with in the religion.
