  I'm so glad you said that moshe.

  Here is what I meant by being disingenious, not on your part of course, but in the entire discourse of the birther movement.

  So you have one link from ABC in which the 'e' is skewed:

  I have another, directly from the white house page where it isn't:

  and yet another copy where it isn't:

  Now, here is my problem. Instead of realizing that the ABC version of the PDF isn't even the same PDF ON THE WHITE HOUSE'S PAGE, a birther will willfully use the first PDF, spread it around and say that the 'e' means the document is a forgery and Obama is misleading us, even though:

  • We don't know what a skewed 'e' actually means in the first place.
  • There is a non-skewed 'e' PDF available on the white house page (again, i still don't know what the 'e' proves, but i'll run with it)
  • The Hawaii Health Department has released Two legal forms of the birth certificate
  • All credible evidence points to a Barack Obama being born in Hawaii.

  And that, in a nutshell, is why I don't believe anything coming out of the Birther Camp.

  Just because I don't believe every sentence spewing out of the WND site doesn't make me a bleeding heart liberal.

  I just value truth, common sense and logic over cheap partisan hackery.

  and Yizuman, you can continue to use a logically fallacious comparison between the Watchtower & WND all you want, but it doesnt change the fact that you're wrong.

  Again, not true.

  Here is an article from February 2010 showing the Social Security issue that the birthers "have just recently" started to use :

  It was largely ignored until obama released the long-form birth certificate. Looks like changing the goal posts to me....

  So as soon as one thing is debunked, another is dugged up from the dregs of the internet.

  What you're effectively saying is:

  JW's regard Apostates as Nut Jobs that shouldn't be listened to, but I know them to be truthful.

  Some people regard Birthers as Nut jobs that shouldn't be listened to, but since people believed Apostates to be nut jobs,when I know them to be truthful, Birthers must also be truthful.

  Going to have to do better.

  My problem with the birthers is the fact that it's never ending. First it was about the birth certificate, then it was about the long-form birth certificate, then it is about his social security number. It's this constant resetting of the goal posts, the lying and disingenuousness.

  What I want to know is how anyone can take articles from WND seriously? The articles on the site have been deliberately misleading if not outright lies since inception. It just amazes me how people can repeatedly give proven liars the benefit of the doubt, everytime, and not the word of the President, the entire state of Hawaii and the US government.

  I've always enjoyed talking to Ex-mormons as much as Ex-JW's, it's usually a back and forth about "Did mormons do this?" or "Did JW's do that?" which is usually enlightening.

  I heard that the musical was pretty good, it was written by the creators of south park.

  Why are men not allowed to do the bible study parts at the service meeting?

  i know why they do it, because the women would complain, but it's not logical, the men need to be trained on how to conduct a bible study with a student, also.

  if it doesn't matter, why are the sisters doing it?

  just to give them something to do?

  I always thought that they did it because men get to do pretty much 9 out of the 10 visible parts of the meeting. This is more like throwing a bone to the sisters so they have a part.

  I never was really part of the "in crowd" of JWs, i sort of just did my thing and had a lot of acquaintences, but never friends. It bothered me between the ages of 10 and 12, but then I just stopped caring. Then when I faded, it was never really a problem because i was already off the radar.

  It's funny because the guys I didn't talk to in Middle School & High School (because they were bad association) are the ones I hang out with now.

  i started watching game of thrones and it has become my fav tv show in a long time.

  i may even read the novels.

  i love fantasy novels and movies, i always tried not to like them and felt bad when a new book came out and always gave in and read it lol.

  I do, I read all of the books and i'm patiently waiting for the 5th. I think HBO & crew did an amazing job in adapting the series.

  @room for george. you would think that, but syfy has really dropped the ball over the past few years. The only show i even bother watching on it is Being human, otherwise it might as well be renamed to Spike TV 2.
