No I was the one getting ripped off.
The one killed himself because of family problems. Not really JW related problems IMO
in wts pubs we always here the experiences like:.
1) dub gets job because of honesty.
2) dub praying for something and just get it next day.

Yes that is what I mean.
I never do business with JW's. The only negative experiences I have is with JW's. Lost 15000 us$ to one...
surprice that you never hear those experiences.
For example: I knew a brother who commited suicide. Can't talk about it.
ok, since all the evidence and people/scholars etc, all agree that jerusalem was destroyed in 587/586 bce and not 607 bce.
how do the jw's get the extra 20 years, i understand the 2520 years and going back from 1914. but alot of the proof goes by adding up the kings reigns, and it gets you to the 587/586 date, do jw's simply add on a few years for each king, or is their a mystery king that ruled for 20 years that only they know about.. hhhhhhmmmmmmm.
hope my question makes sense.
If is possible that Jezus came in 1914. It folows that if we take 2620 something years back we come in 607. So undoubdly 607 is the year of destruction of Babylon. With this fixed date 607, we lok at daniel profecy and add 2620 years. We see clearly that beyond all doubt Jezus returned as king in 1914.
i mean at least most of them except for the real old ones that can't take care of themselves anymore.
cast your vote.
also i would like your vote on whether you think they are reading it more often as time goes on.
maybe some non JW lawyers or so who report about what ex jw's see the most common problems of the org?
i know that you are new here, but have left yourself open to some comments.
i have been curious as to why you post.
do you have doubts?
I believe the name of the site is "Free-Minds", not "Borg-Minds"....just an observation.
Hmm, I do not know this. Looks like the name is JWD, at least that is what is in my left upper corner.
top 9 reasons beards are bad:.
9. we don't need tiredness defined as the inability .
to run a razor across our faces.. .
Grissom,
why are beards only bad at some places. We have elders here with beards (always had)
Not a problem.
Why are the rules not the same?

hmm, I do not agree with Grimsom, but I think he must be welcome.
We can not call him a troll and shun him just because he has a different opinion. I really do not like people who get too personal to him also. Of course telling what you think about what he said no problem.
Or we must change this board to: ex jw discussion board. JW's NOT welcome.
Just my opinion

In WTS pubs we always here the experiences like:
1) Dub gets Job because of honesty
2) Dub praying for something and just get it next day
3) Dub finds wallet, returns it and bla bla bla
4) great field service experiences etc.
Does anyone has a opposite experience. Where just the opposite happened what should have happened?
after reading and responding recently to a post about eating pork and clean and unclean meats, and also a few about newfound freedoms and pleasures that some enjoy now that they are out of the jws, i got to wondering if there is anything like that on the flip side of the coin.
in other words, despite you leaving the wts, is there anything you still believe that they taught, even though you left or were forced out, and no longer believe the rest of the jw doctrine?.
i was never a jw, but i was raised in a rather similar group called the worldwide church of god, many of the controls, strictures, and abuses that i saw as a child there, i see posted about here-though they are different, they are also the same.
I consider myself a atheist but still:
Won't eat blood.
Won't salute a flag or anything like it. (well not too extreme in it)
Don't smoke sigarettes.
Still feel uneasy when I hear the name Jehovah
i thought this would be kind of fun to do is list some of the offenses that i have committed according to witness beliefs.
i thought it might be mildly amusing considering the lack of emphasis that any of these things are wrong according to the majority of the population.
i'll limit myself to ten.
Do we have t confess our sins now here
Hmm..
1) being drunk together with an elder.
2) celebrating boeddist holydays, and making sacrefices to boeddha
3) lying about my field service report
4) having wrong kinds of sex (wrong according to WTS)
5) Gambling
6) making use of prostitutes
7) Apostacy of course
8) Trying to contact satan
9) Having more then one girlfriend sleeping over
10) lying to the elders about almost everything above
11) Smoking marihuana
Well that is basically it I think. Do I get df-ed now?
