There are a lot of things that christian can lear from boeddism.
They do no force their religion with the sword, they are tolerant for other views.
They have a nice respect for other people.
It is a religion based on peace, not on war.

I think the alcohol (expect for beer) commercial are banned here. On tv not in the cinema.
The wat around it is of course that companies have a similar product with no alcohol and advertise this, and there by the brand name.

a while back, an aquaintance of mine told me that he liked to visit prostitutes.
although we weren't that close, i'd worked on and off with him over the years.

I do not see any wrong in visiting prostitutes, but cheating on your spouse is very wrong.

You are very welcome. I appreciate your candor and I can agree that actual, physical proof of God existence (by your set standards) is unattainable. All logical arguments break down at some point no matter which side you find yourself on. However, see my posts about the metaphysical nature of our own reasoning and logic, think about it: where does logic come from in the first place? It is a transcendent proposition.

There is some part of our DNA makeup that goed from father to son. There is also DNA that goed from mother to daughter only as google points out.
From the paternal DNA, it can be traced back to the common ancestor in the same way as can be done with the meternal DNA.
Both show that there is a single common human ancestor.
This common ancestor on the father side is called: Y-chromosomal Adam.
The common ancestor on the mothers side is called: mitochondrial eve.
The common male ancestor is believed to have lived 60000-90000 years ago. The common female ancestor is date earlier. That they are not dated back to the same time is very well possible.

one night there was a fire in a petrolium storage facility one block from the kingdom hall the police had baricades up and vacated the area around the hall.
the po called and told all us that jehovah would not let the place blow up while meeting was going on so meeting was still going to be held and he asked all of us brothers to call and inform the congregation that jehovah will protect us and to tell the congregation about an article of a hurricane that destroyed a town but jumped over the kingdom hall.
