Here it would be quite normal to have a ATM machine (well it isn't a actual ATM machine, see Abbadon's post).
But at the comments of our american posters, this wouls be shoking to some.
So I think N.Y. bethel must havebeen shocked to hear a brother slip something about the ATM machine in the circuit hall. Funny.

The view of the afterlife evolved in time, even when the bible was written, and also after.

I do not know any of the details in this particular case but...
my company uses pictures sometimes. You can buy pictures of models, items etc, from some companies. You can either buy the rights to use the picture, or buy the exclusive right. The latter is a lot more expensive, about 5 to 10 times mostly.
What sometimes happens is that other companies use the same picture or part of the picture in their advertisements, when you buy it not exclusive. This is not really a problem unless the company is in the same branche. When you look closely you see thye same pictures sometimes turn up.
I guess that is just what happened here. Both Stern and WTS bought that picture not exclusive. Not a big deal.
What is however a big deal is that that this ends my search for this hot sister-chick, realising she is not living in some american congregation....

Thank you for missing me :)
Well, there were a lot of reasons for not posting for some time...
But the biggest were that the network administrator in the place i work did decide that JWD was on the list of blocked websites.
Together with some computer problems at home (and some other problems) did leave me not too much time to post.
Hope to make it up in the coming time...

Those machines are pretty standard here.
There are some costs, of course but the costs are not that big. You pay a few cents for every transaction. You pay also a bit for the machine. But almost all shops have it, even market vendors.
Every weekend the hall is full with withneses, happy to donate...
Indeed the contribution boxes are cheaper, but I think people will donate less.
i remember knocking on a door in the field service, and the girl who answered the door, looked at me and said in french, "allez vous faire crosser" .
although i didn't laugh, i found it very funny.
the brother with me also had a smile on his face, but didn't say a word, as we walked back to the car.
probably the nastiest thing said were the words some a moslim extremist, who told me exactly how he would like to see me killed.
Didn't care to much and was not scared at that time. (at that time there weren't any killing my muslim extremists yet)
The ones that always bothered me more, were the ones that were so kind and basically told me:

Anyway we always had a pin-machine in the dutch hall in Swifterband (a machine that allows contributions direct from your bank card).
It was very easy and successfull. (lot of people spend more, when they do not see the money).
before our circuit assembly we got a letter that this machine was remove. No explanation (as usually).
Does anybody know the real reason?

do jehovahs witnesses agree with the death penalty.
in leviticus it says: "'and in case a man strikes any soul of mankind fatally, he should be put to death without fail.
This is not really a issue for them.
The political issue is non existent for them as everything related to politics is bad, and you are more or less not allowed to have an opinion on those political issues.
The dead penalty under the mosaic law, is not longer valid, as they believe that Jesus eded the law.
So, they expect God to put the death penalty over all innocent people soon. But they only expect to have to clean up the mess that god makes. Literary cleaning the corpses etc. ....
