Beginning the road out.

yes i'm new to this forum and i have been searching the net and reading with interest peoples comments here and on other sites.

as most know reaching out as a faithfull jw to others outside of the congregation is difficult at first ,as i guess we think anyone outside the congregation is wordly etc.

and we can't open up easily to "strangers" as jehovah would not approve.

Welcome to the board.
Thank you for relating part of your story. Yes, we are slowly becoming more 'human" when leaving the organisation in some ways...

You will notice that maybe some here have a hatred for the society, but not all. For me, I do not hate the them, and surely I do not have the witnesses. Everyone has a different story, some very painfull, some quite easy. Some are still "in" the organisatrion, like me.
There are so many differences here, but different thought count here and can be expreseed, not suppressed.

most people assume that noah built the ark.

but the book of noah clearly suggests that the angels were its builders.

perhaps the angels mentioned therein were extra- terrestrial aliens.

Because it isn't black & white.
The chart just shows the difference in doctrine between two dogma's. That's all.

" i had not heard of this term, but when i googled, i did get a reference to the very familiar concorde theory.

if you are not familiar with either, here is a primer.

just to add, for some older JW's it probably is a reason, although they would name it difefrntly.

more this is what i always have done, and I do not know anything diffent. They would be scared for a life outside.

Nice thoughts here.

I know that this Sunk costs works in some ways for me. Like you make or write something, and later it shows that it could be better in a different way. Then people have a hard time convincing me..

But I think it will not play a too big part in the deccision of many JW's to stay in. It does not a all in my case. I think this is because it is a continues process. People would have a less hard tie leaving the movie if they had to pay for every minute they saw...

judges chapter 11.. if you read vers 31 it looks clear that jephtha is speaking about human sacrefice.

"he speaks about a burn offering for jehovah of the first thing or person that walks out of his house.

If you read vers 31 it looks clear that Jephtha is speaking about human sacrefice. "he speaks about a burn offering for Jehovah of the first thing or person that walks out of his house." This must mean a person I guess...

But then after his daughter comes out, it does not look like she finally made it as a fine selling burn offering of God, or does it?

What proportion of JW kids stay Witnesses? How about in your cong?

the wts is currently growing at about 1.3 % which is similar to the global propulation growth rate.

if all the jw kids stayed as jws then the religion could grow as quickly as it is now without any door knocking.. if in 2005 1.2 billion hours witnessing resulted in the religion only growing at the rate it should be naturally it suggests a lot a kids are leaving, or doorknocking is not having very good results.. of about 100 people born into the wts that i can remember in my congregations in australia about 3/4 of them have left.

is that the same in your congregation?
