  No school again today

  for the second day in a row, the schools are closed because of the snow.

  very strange for november.. it is collllddddd today and the roads are solid ice after the bit of a thaw yesterday.

  another big snowstorm hit last evening.

  A question for Jehovah's Witnesses. Please answer.

  i am still in good standing so you must be truthful with me no spiritual warfare with me.. it is almost an automatic response that it is not fair to bring up old literature and old teachings when questioning the wt authority and stand.. i present that since the wt still uses references to early years and bases their authority and choseness on events that happend in those early years and the justification is the differences in what they taught and what nominal christianity taught.

  based on these facts and the fact that if you disprove their claims to be chosen at that time they have no basis for authority or claiming a chosen status.. do you still agree that it is not fair to discuss this old literature?.

  if you answer yes, when were they chosen by god and what proof do you have for that.

  well, I may be in good standing with them, but they are not with me, but like to answer anyway

  it depends I think how you use the old quotes. If you use it to prove that they use to believe or how thngs have changes, or like what strange things they believed in at the moment they claim they are choocen, then it is perfectly legitimate to use the quotes

  how else would you prove that, or make your point about that?

  if you want to discuss current believes that you should limit quotes until the 60's. That is what they do.

  i am begining to think it is more when, than if now.

  i think if it isn't over the removal of the bush.

  then those 30% of people that never wanted him to leave will try to either force thier neo-conservative agenda (facist borderline nazi) or suceed the union (again it's mainly the same people in those idiot southern states that want him to stay)(by the way yes i'm in one of them and yes they are idiots and so am i).

  well, I do not think you have to worry about pro and contra bush....

  that will not result in any conflict.

  I think usa should worry about the polarisation in some of its big cities

  Where does most of the WBT$ Literature really go?

  the wbt$ prints an incredible amount of literature..jehovah`s witness`s usually buy multiple copies of everything..where does it all go?..you can`t throw it away or burn it,only satan burns watchtower literature..lol!

  !..my mom has floor to ceiling copies of all of it..every jw i know has a garage,basement or spare bedroom filled with it..there must be millions of dollars worth of wbt$ literature that has never been placed door to door..where did most of your wbt$ literature really go?...outlaw

  actually outlaw it went there,

  first it was kept for a year or two, then if was not even placed for free like unwated at everybody's mailbox then we all throw it away

  stopped going to meetings - feeling bored - what to do?

  since 6 weeks i stopped going to the meetings.

  not that the meetings are not boring.... but i had some friends there, and have a lot more time on my hands.

  also i decided not to use the computer so much anymore because of rsi related problems.

  What activities do you enjoy doing? Anything you're curious to learn more about? Maybe find a group of people in your area interested in the same thing. Volunteer at a museum or non-profit organization. Maybe help teach a kid how to read through your local school district. Go back to school. Get your PhD in Nuclear Physics...

  Thank you that are some good suggestions. Except for the last one, I don't need another one in nuclear physics, ha ha.
  But indeed I need to do and find something new. Some real not profit organisation maybe....

  The options are endless! Use your talents for some good, not the good of a publishing corporation.

  I didn't use my talents for them, already a long time. That was the most waste of talents I ever did.

  Hi All,

  Since 6 weeks I stopped going to the meetings. Not that the meetings are not boring.... but I had some friends there, and have a lot more time on my hands. Also I decided not to use the computer so much anymore because of RSI related problems. I am working with computers, so need the time in the evening mostly away from it.

  Anyway have anyone any sugestions what to do, with the new discovered freedom and time? I grew up as a JW, so basically all my friends and family are JW. This does not make leaving a lot easier, there is kind of a vacuum now. So what did you do to fill up the vacuum?

  What planted the seed of doubt that lead you to leave or think of leaving?

  as a backdrop to this, you should know that i was a 5th generation "raised in the truth" jw through my mother (her great-grandfather got "the truth" from pastor russell).
