  guys i really need your help

  todaythings have really come to a head and i have a massive decusion to make by 7pm tonight!.

  basically i have been dfed since march tryed to get reinstated two weeks ago but they said no, thing is i only did it for my family esp my dad he is not well and i love him to pieces.

  but when i got dfed i had a boyfriend and things have been up and down (hes put up with alot) but he is sticking by my side and i love him and want to be open about him and not lie anymore, .

  Its so tough Cordy, but ultimately you have to make a decision that many have made on here already. You either carry on living the lie or not, upsetting people in the process. You have to understand that its not neccessarily you dad talking to you in that instance but rather the 'truth'.

  The whole idea of the shunning thing is 2-fold. One, the GB dont want the fand and file JW's whats really going on, which they will find out if they speak to DF'd ones and secondly they assume if you miss the contact with friends and family that you will go back (its crazy because they want you to go back for the RIGHT reasons, but they give you what would be considered a WRONG reason to go back!!!)

  I was lucky because my dad gradually stopped talking to me, and although i miss him, i truly feel sorry for him.

  It is a life changing decision you have to make, to a certain extent, but one you know was coming. If it was me i would bite the bullet and say you are finished with JW's. But thats my situation where i am fortunate enough to have other family out of the 'truth' as well.

  You have your boyfriend and daughter, and as soon as your dad leaves tonight you will feel a certain weight off your shoulders. (i did when i posted my DA letter thrut the KH door! It felt like the sun had come out and a huge chorus had sung hallelujah!)

  But saying this you know the decision is yours. I think tho, that leaving the JW's behind for good is the one you wont live to regret.

  McFly are coming to visit...

  not sure if you americans know about them, but mcfly are a british pop band, and they're coming to visit where i work for a single signing tomorrow... kinda cool, even though i actually dislike their music.

  it's a damn big deal for the store i work at.... .

  They did get their name from the BTTF movies, so I read. Their target audience is probably 10-15 yr olds.

  Well I loved Jack with coke, but then i found i preferred more and more coke compared to the Jack. Now I like coke with a tiny bit of Jack in it, hardly any at all. I always like Stella tho- lovely stuff.

  Mines a Stella. My approach now is to live my life as best as i can, look after the ones that are important to me. I pray that if there is something else I supposed to do, then show me! If everyone just tried their best to be good people I think the world would be better place- maybe im just doing my part.

  I hate them. They are awful. Whiny and pathetic. Im pleased you know better than to like them. Their only saving grace is that they do play guitars instead of dance.

  Feeling sooo isolated.....

  hello to all, i was raised pretty much as a jw and became one of the super goodie two shoes type, you know......didnt even swear when i was alone.. im now disfellowshipped and since i followed the guideline of not having friends outside the organization i now find myself completely alone, my friends are all jw's and none of them can talk to me.

  so now i feel lost....on another planet almost .

  I know exactly how you feel Michelle. I left the JW's about 3 years ago and have recently moved to a completely different area. So there was no one i knew at all. But as time goes on, I have made friends so im sure you will be there soon. Its good you have an understanding boyfriend too. My girlfriend (she's now my wife) has always been understanding and willing to listen.

  You may feel at the bottom, but that also means the only way is now up!

  They have found me! (At last)

  i've just had a telephone conversation with my wife about 1/2 an hour ago.

  we have had a visit from the local jw's this morning.

  from the upstairs window my wife conducted a brief conversation where she basically told them thst she wasnt the best person to speak to, as her husband used to be a jw.

  I guess im torn beacause I really want to make a point to them, but at the same time i dont want to get into a discussion with them.

  I think i'll probably opt for keeping it very brief and to the point.

  No, surely not!!! Well thats shattered my illusion. Mind you, those nasty self righteous grins (I'm going to be in the Watchtower!!!) gives a whole new viewpoint of the photographer saying "Say Cheese!!!"
