As you may have surmised, I am single.
Being in a committed relationship kinda negates the issue, if the committment was between two and still current.
I must admit, in my experience, couples who adjust that commitment and open up to have sex with others don't last.
I cannot remember couple who are still together but is that a bad thing? Was the looking for outside sex just a symbol of deeper fissures?
let's say you have 20 seconds (give or take) to make an impression on a jw.
to say something that will stick in their head and make them really think.
because you know, that once they realize you are an apostate, they will shut down anything else that you have to say.. what do you say?.
Please tell me the current opinion of the wts on these issues as they change so frequently, I can't keep up!

i have been out of the jws officially for over 3 years now, since disassociating.
after researching the history of the organization and reading the bible (without) the watchtower, i am now a christian.
i am just curious what happens to most ex-jws as far as their beliefs go, after they leave the organization.

often people think it is all about what you see in advertising, but often it is smaller things we think less of and yet it dominates our sex drive.
for example, in a case study we did, we found that a lot of people would immediately answer things like "eyes" or "legs" and yet as we drove deeper into their answers, we found that eyes and legs were not what attracted people.

My tastes change as the years go by. I was besotted with surf bunnies 'til I was about 35. Blonde hair, blue eyes and a tight body. Brains came second.
Now at nearly 50, I would say a turn on is quirky. Someone who stands out who shines without having to verbalise the fact.
Passionate women are a magnet. That spark which brings free flowing conversation. Music food wine their occupation, whatever.
I honestly can't define certain physical attributes because I have fallen for women who have the Bjork pixie look, to women who are taller than me and carrying a couple of healthy kilos.

they will tell you what music you shouldn't listen to, what movies to avoid, places not to go to, tell you not to vote, and which poeple to shun.

Just before I left the jws, I went to a convention and that guy from the gb, jaratz(?) said,

He was basically saying we, the gb will do the thinking for you and don't question it, it is for your own good.

hello, i am newly dissociated and was wondering how some of you who grew up in "the truth" have started relationships.
i have never dated for obvious reasons and am now 26 with no experiance and extremely shy about this whole dating process.
i have tried places of interest like gyms, workout classes and even eharmony with no prevail.
My advice is go out.
Push the limits a little.
When I left the jws (and ultimately marriage) I forced myself to go out alone. I was so nervous the first time I went to a coffee shop, I had a newspaper in front of me but could not read it. I started a conversation with a woman at another table. Turns out she was happily married but it got me conversing with women. Then I chose a funky bar where lots of over seas travellers hang out. That was the beginning of a great adventure.
I got to realise that most people are, depite what the wts says, very open, balanced and friendly. Relationships sprang from having a large social network.
Can I say one more thing? Women can smell desperation a mile off. Be your own man and learn to be happy in your own space.

i was watching this national geographic program called "the end" the other day.
it showed different events that could end mankind and possibly the planet.
in each one, there is true in possibilities and they never showed an example of god destroying the world.
Humans are like parasites.
There's a fine balance between feeding off the host and killing it (the planet).
At this time it ain't lookin' too good
1. was he the son of god and some kind of god himself?
2. was he an extremely intelligent man that manipulated people and made himself appear to be fullfilling the prophecies about the messiah?
3. was he a dellusional nutter?
