I threw out all clothes that even reminded me of jws. No suits, ties "dress shirts" etc. Current look is a number 2 hair cut with a plaited goatee, many tatts, wool beanie, jeans or khaki work pants, Doc Martin boots (Winter). As little as possible in Summer, board shorts, tee or cotton shirts, sandals, even to work. Nothing to the beach! LOL! Yeah I live in a sparsely populated area thank god!

A Question For the Guys...
by Quendi inthis thread was inspired by the "a question for the ladies..." thread and anybody is welcome to post.. if you are now free and clear of the wts, how have your dress and grooming changed?
i'll start the ball rolling by saying that i made some changes that i really like.
i'm down to two suits and they are only for job interviews and perhaps some solemn occasion.

Self-Actualization
by frankiespeakin inwhile i have come across this term before i never looked up what it meant.
so while reading about what "peak expreiences" are i came across the term again and decide to give wiki a try.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/self-actualization.
self-actualization is a term that has been used in various psychology theories, often in slightly different ways.

LOL! Actually I do write but more about my experiences post the JW experience. It's mainly for my children/grandchildren but the feedback has all been positive. About 20,000 words so far on a current project. A couple of minor things published nationally (via newspaper) in the past but I get lazy or distracted.

Wow! That is a poished piece!!
I came from a "haunted" childhood and can remember being obsessed as an 8yr old with a poem about a lonely bear in a cage who waited for the night and moonbeams to stream into his cage. All night he would ride the freedom of the moonbeams but was doomed to return to his cage in the morning. Only as an adult do I appreciate the depth of that poem... Thanks CoCo.
