what disturbs me most about christians in general is their obsessive need to convince others of their rightness. Didn't jesus say that by their fruit you will know them? So shouldn't your actions display your faith, rather than lazily posting self righteous judgements about a subject you don't understand?
witnesses are a special breed.

You guys have forgotten so quickly. There's nothing that gets more oooh's and ahhh's than a good disfellowshipping. Reproofs OK, but a lynchin' gets everyone feeling all righteous and chatty.
with 2014 only 9 years a way...how could it be one genaration to the great trib....am i off on this or does it seem the dubs have missed this one too...what is there explation???

What is amazing to me is how long jws have waited in anticipation without cracking(OK OK I guess they are). Keep on the watch etc.
It's like telling the fire brigade that a call to huge fire is coming any second.....minute, hour, day, week, month, year, decade, century. Still staring at the telephone....

but family want me back so im trying to prove to myself that it isnt true, top get the strength not to go back,i heard the 607 date may be false, can anyone show me about that, i know exactly what the jws say and cant believe the intial date is wrong, is it?
I'm new here. Is this guy scholar a jw or someone just having a bit of sport?
Either way, he isn't going to convince anyone on this sight to change beliefs and sadly no one here is going to convince him otherwise. Could it be better to just ignore him?

I raised my two kids as jws. I reckon the reason they stopped believing(I truly kept my opinions to myself after I woke up) was that they had such mature friends.
Their non witness friends just excepted them as they were, while the witness kids friendship was conditional and may I say rather nasty at times. When they questioned jw beliefs guess who still treated them the same? When they were depressed about their loss of faith, who supported them (of course I did too)?
Those friendships are still strong. That's not to say my kids didn't have disagreements with their non witness friends, it's just that they got over it and moved on as mates.
Actions speak louder than words.
I found being a self righteous opiniated, bigotted jw far more spiritually, emotionally and physically hazardous than tobacco.
