Any one remember Get Smart from the 60's?
Siegfried asked agent 86 while putting a gun to his head. "How do you want to die Smart?

How many of you consider yourselves Pagan?
by FreedomFrog ini've started on a path that is very comfortable for me almost a year ago.
and now i'm wanting to see how many believe a similar way.. i looked into wiccan, celtic, eclectic and other forms of pagan.
i think that i've settled down into shamanism since that was the path my grandfather went.

It's such a shame about the time difference ....But I will answer as best I can.
Firstly I must say that both nights I have written quite detailed stories and both times my computer failed...
So I think I will keep them more general.
My fear was not of demons or entities but much more personal and deep. Some call it the warriors journey, I don't know. AllI know was that I needed to go to the brink to learn to face my deepest fears and yes possibly the last vestiges of jw indoctrination.
I have had initiation ceremonies in Sumatra with a Shaman woman who conjured the Opoong, the ancient spirits. It was not fear inspiring but of wholeness and yes, even love....
What shifted my fear was my relationship to eagles, particularly sea eagles. Up to that point, I never resonated with them. I will not tell the story but suffice to say when I felt that icey grip in my gut, I would put the eagle in my mind, fearlessly ruffling its feathers, unshakeable with talons locked to the earth.
On a lighter note
I loved the comments of the potential forest fairie who wants to get earthy!!!
Can I suggest to you to go to the web and look up forest dance parties, we call them doofs out here, as in doof, doof, doof of the subs (Yeah that's the name above). Your way may be called forest trance parties. Just what you need.
I have found dance, particularly in the forest is most powerful in going to a deeper world without using any drug. And yes I have been to doofs on the beach with the sun rising and the dolphins attracted to the relentless bass and pschedelic sounds, twisting, surfing and somersalting in pure joy of being
Also to full moon parties in the Himalayas with the moon setting over towering snow peaks while the sun rises below in the valley.........
It's a long way from the hokie pokie with the witnesses!!! Ha Ha

Should dubs sun-bathe?
by bother_forever inso smoking cigs is a drug, yea like caffine (saw this posted somewhere recently), so then they say, its a defilement, and cause cancer etc.
by this method of thinking, is it also wrong to deliberatly sun-bathe, knowing full well its dangerous (especially here in australia, lots of skin cancers from it) and possibly not showing respect for "the sanctity of life"?.
someone asked me this while i was still a dub, i think it helped put a dent in the old "faith" bridge.

I remember years ago, three teenage sisters came from the UK to B/Bay. It took them about 2 days to find the local nude beach. Suffice to say, their "crime" was obvious. The poor little things were soooo burned... But strangely, they always came home at night smiling and contented!

I live in the forest
The house is made from the earth and timbers cut from the site. I have many animals living around me and sometimes with me. At first this was disconcerting, but we have learned to get along (mostly).
I have had many experiences with animals and unusual happenings at sacred sites to be coincidences. I have spent quite a lot of time with Goori people(Australian indigenous people in this area) and some time with "clever men".
Obviously, I cannot speak in detail as that is "mens business" but all I can say is that the natural world around us has a lot more going on than we or at least I realised.
It is difficult for me to label my experiences but Shamanism would be the closest. I did not choose this path and was terrified at times from the dreams, premonitions, the, out of controlness and being able to see "sickness"of the spirit in people.
Sometimes I thought I was imagining things, going crazy but others have been with me at times and have seen animals do strange things around me. One recent example was a pod of dolphins followed us up a beach. My friend who was with me laughed when I told him they are reincarnated blackfellas who save any aboriginal person drowning. He went surfing while I sat and sang to them. They stayed an hour in a tight group. I decided to swim and called to them to introduce myself and that I was was only visiting. As soon as I was in deep enough water, they raced over and circled me. Twenty dolphins. Mothers, babies and the big males. I dived under to see them.
After getting out, my friend paddled in with a slightly scared but elated look on his face. We sat in the sun for an hour, then walked the mile back to the car with the pod at our sides. As we started on the track, we looked back and the dolphins took off. Wild dolphins spent 4 hrs with us. The lesson was for him. It was to be playful like a child, to see the mystery in life and embrace it. They were his feelings not mine.
I feel uncomfortable even telling this simple story as often it is talking into the wind of the uninitiated but I hope and have confidence that someone will read this and find a spark ignited.
One last thing. I have stated this before but I believe that people need to be careful what path they choose. Tickling the ego is not a solid reason to inquire into the under world of the spirit.

**MUST READ** AlanF's email to Knocking.org
by sf inthis is a must-read that, hopefully, will stay an "active topic" for all seekers and lurkers, by bumping it to the top as often as possible.
alan wrote it in randys {dogpatch} thread regarding knocking.org documentary and in reply to the email mr. engardio sent to barbara anderson.
however, it is so vital a read that it indeed needs its own thread:.

Notes from the Wallkill Printery Dedication - May 16, 2005
by acsot inyou will all no doubt want to upchuk your lunch be pleased to find out how jehovah has blessed the brothers and sisters at the expanded, updated printery at wallkill.
i have several pages of notes from that momentous occasion, but haven't a clue how to get them to post here.
one of the snippets that will make you want to vomit highlights mentioned how, in reference to one job out-sourced to a "worldly" company for the concrete floors, the foreman of said company told the dubs that "what he learned in his few months at watchtower was comparable to five years of college".

Saw one waitressing in a coffee shop today!!! She didn't stop staring but what made me cranky was that she didn't clean our table from the previous customer.
I was having a meeting, so my colleagues must have wondered at my choice. I didn't recognise her at first, then it all clicked. Tragic!!

by You People Are All Idiots inwow, yeah i was looking fr the theocratic ministry school oral review questions and i came across an apostate site!
the site was www.jehovahs-witness.com and was just fill of retarded apostates!
they were not only using a domain name and header name that denotes a conection with the actual watchtower society, but where using it to blasphem the jehovah's true organization in order to help people break away.

are you pessimistic or optimistic about the future?
by nowisee ini just saw a documentary called "the corporation".
very disturbing.. one premise put forth likened our reality to those who first experimented with flying.
they formed contraptions with wings and jumped off cliffs.

How can I be pessimistic? I'm off to Sri Lanka on Monday for a holiday.
