Actually I was enjoying the read until someone chucked in the fear of god. Something about being accountable. Threadkiller

Are you living your life fully knowing that you will one day die?
by JH inas jw's it was out of the question to die.
the end was too close for that to happen, unless you had a bad accident or sickness.
most of us believed that we wouldn't die, and on top of that we were about to become young again.. since we will all die, do you make it a priority in your life right now to live it fully, and to love fully the ones you care for because every day you skip, its lost and won't come back..

Absolutely! Absolutely! Absolutely!
by Elsewhere inis it just me or are more people using the word "absolutely" far more than needed?.
the other day i was at a store and the guy said "absolutely" several times in his pitch.
i've heard people use the word several times in recent television shows and this morning on the news i heard it three more times.. .

Gee to think I was under the impression that all your workout required was walking to the frig, picking out little bottle, flexing quadruceps, extending fingers to flick syringe and using massive bicep power to stick needle in preflexed quad.

I have this habit of looking at peoples auras when I'm in deep conversation. Sorta looking them in the eye then checking around their head. Gets people really unsettled, so I am training myself to look 'em directly in the eye. Just as disconcerting really...
Not a conscious thing. I didn't realise 'til it was pointed out (many times).

Elders = Amateur Lawyers | Case Study Marriage Separation - Society scolded
by confusedjw inwhile serving as an elder we had a sister who was moving to another congregation in conjunction with separating from her husband.. another brother and i had been working with them for many weeks and were asked to send a letter to the new congregation, commenting on the situation and scriptural validity of the separation.. the situation was that she claimed he was endangering her and cited one physical incident where she hid behind a door and playfully jumped out to scare him, he reacted by striking out with his arm and hit her in the shoulder.
she admitted he was very sorry about the incident, but she suspected he somewhat did it on purpose.
she also brought up several situations in there marriage of him not taking the lead and weird behavior.

I remember the "elders" coming over when I was having marriage differences(we foolishly asked them to). One was a friend, the other could not stand the sight of me. My friend told me before, what ever John says just agree. I assume John was going to us the time to put the boot in.
This fool got no background information, centred on a couple of recent issues(which he got tottally wrong) and generally insulted both of us with his egotistical judgements. He didn't ask any questions and it was obvious that he had made his mind on the situation before entering our house!
My friend just sat there and said nothing as good new "elders" do. He actually knew a lot but was too worried about getting his arse kicked later and losing his position.
Finally I got sick of his pontificating and told him to watch his mouth, actually to get out. He had want he wanted and I was blackbanned from "priviliges".
My wife and I realised at that point that we were going to have to resolve our own issues without christian brotherly support....
