Tragic story
I have been swimming in the ocean just about all of my life and have been circled by large sharks many times.
That feeling is like nothing else. Absolute vulnerability.
This poor young woman seems to have been in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Makes me think of my kids who both live in Brisbane.
like so many people, i'm (very carefully)trying to convey the obvious "truth" about the wtb&ts to some of the members of my family.
is there any key point that "stands out" in your memory as pivotal in the opening of your eyes?
or any particular point that may have opened the eyes of your loved ones?
Definitely the change around the generation of 1914.
It is also easy to prove to current jws if they have the wt CD. Just research "generation" it's all there in black and white.

so i did and as i was in there i noticed a magazine on the counter that was only partly covered.
i could not help myself, and looked to see what it was and it was a penthouse.

Yeah, I too have a problem with that.
All I can say is these guys have had a different experience than myself.
It appears that loss of family and friends is too much for some. They continue to go thru the motions.

As soon as I found out that jws had told me lies, I never graced a kh again.
I cannot answer your enquiries about changing the wts by airing your personal thoughts and actions as I don't care any more.

I thought the point was clear.
Maybe it's because we were witnesses and the "old boy" system ran strong in the elder body that we can laugh now. It was'nt a laughing matter when I was a jw and an ms and watched the politicing and arse kissing that went on amongst the "elder" body in every cong I attended.
For Elise's sake, my mantra post jws is personal responsibility. I don't need a god or guru to take my human decision making/responsibility away

Well, I ' ve been in both sides of this picture in my life.
How I see your situation is kinda common if people will be honest. When in a relationship, there can be an attraction to the sad/bad boy (or girl).
Life can be just wonderful with much love but we all have a dark side. The attraction can be so unreasonable but the more we deny, the stronger it becomes. There was something in the bible, proverbs I think, which talks about a stallion on heat. There's no stopping that horse.
So, if your serious about sticking it out with hubby, let this one go. There's no way you can go back to being friends now.
Don't be too hard on yourself as it's natural to be sexually attracted to others, it's just what you do with it that counts.

Another crazy episode was when I invited a woman I met in Thailand to come live with me(no she's not Thai, Austrian that's AUSTRIA not Australia!! lol)
I learned the lesson that people act differently on holiday than they do in every day life.
