I think this is quite apt..
My Karma ran over my Dogma
i know most jehovah's witnesses believe in the soul sleeping doctrine.
by this, given that neither man nor beast has a spirit, but that they do possess souls (or "intelligences" unique to themselves).
where this intelligence resides between death and resurrection is more than a passing interest, but again, assuming that yehweh can recreate one's distict soul, does the society believe that animals have souls?
I think this is quite apt..

i really don't understand.
how can any homeowner in his right mind, not have a tornado shelter ???
i understand that some people live in apartments and condos, but someone with any size yard (even a driveway) could have a shelter.. to me it's a no-brainer.
Gnat. My neighbour has three on his property. I have helped him deconstruct them. They are not on any form of concrete footing or even tied together but withstood 140mph gusts this year without any issues and two are stacked on each other. As Rubadub said, the idea is to lock them down and cover with soil. They would not be affected by any wind.

A simple cheap solution is to get a few neighbors together and buy an old shipping container. Some decent concrete footings, a bunch of dyna bolts to keep it from flying and there you go. If you want to get extra protection, doze a few yards of soil around and on top. Grow a garden if you like!
i had an expensive pen i carried with me at work, it had sentamental value because i purchased it with my wife in venice after a tortuous attempt to find a store that carried fine pens.
last year it went missing, i was mortified that it just dissapeared and painstakingly retraced everything i did the previous day.
i concluded it got left on the table at a business lunch i had the day before.
I had a similar experience. I bought my own pens at work despite pens being provided. I lost so many, I raised it as a staff meeting and then had to resort to taping my name on them. This worked for a while until I paid $30 for a pen. It disappearsed... My flakey manager came in one day and I noticed my pen WITH THE NAME POORLY REMOVED! I didn't have to say a word as she realised her mistake of having it with her and she went into a blather about "someone" finding it in a drawer where I must have put it........As is human nature, she had a set on me after that embarrassing situation and drove me out of the job. I can thank her now for that.
so we had the woman version.
let it rip guys - what type of woman makes you just want to get her know her better - the one that makes you take that risk and walk on over to start a conversation?.
How my tastes have changed. Joie de vivre is probably at the forefront as so many women I meet are weighed down with the cares of life (understandable but should it rule a person's outlook?). Contentment, intelligence, inquisitiveness.
Physically? Clear sparkling eyes, fit (that doesn't mean a greyhound or a body builder just active) a ready (wide) smile, good teeth. Body shape or height isn't a priority as I have dated all varieties. Oh of course someone who loves kissing, cuddling and playful sex. Hey I'm Taurean!
Oh and MUST love dancing!
my wife passed away 2 years ago we had been married over 30 years, i have since remarried and my new wife is younger than 3 of my children from my first marriage.
i just wondering if there are any more like me out there.
i stay in excellent shape for my age, work out almost daily eat good and have absolutely no medical problems or at least none i can do anything about, bad knees, but my vitals are excellent, and i am known as the teenage because of them when i have my yearly medical checkup.. so was wondering if there are others out there like me, and what some may think about it, just for the record i am extremely happy once again, and we have a 18 month boy who delights me, have a whole new outlook on fatherhood and child raising.
Well done and good luck!

I travel a lot to Indonesia and where I hang out there are far more (some late) middle aged white women with young local guys then white men and young local women. The funny thing is the reaction of other similar aged white women. The vaste majority say "Good on them , life is short!" But if it's a white man it's "Oh how sad and desperate he is. Or she is just a gold digger!"
I agree with the first group. I have numerous friends of both genders with young partners over there and all look and seem extremely content and in love.
whether you're a former jw, or active jw, or some other religion, or atheist, what do you say?
do you fear death and, whether yes, no, or i don't know, why?
have changed religious views changed your view of death?
The rational part of my brain says nothing to fear, everything dies but the emotional side says imagine saying my last goodbye to my children and grandchildren. I have faced death numerous times and on each occasion my children and how much I love them was my final thought.
I can't believe anyone who has truly faced death hasn't tasted fear. Sadly I have known people who were in denial of their imminent death due to illness. They died badly....
they drink blood which he is against.. they are a nuisance and would be hell in paradise.
they just seem to be pests with no beneficial or redeeming characteristics.
no jw could give you a satisfactory answer to that.
Just finished brushcutting and found two leeches in my boot. Geez the mess. Part of bush life....

Welcome Beasleymyboy. Yes I vaguely remember his wife as a sweety but his arrogance overshadowed that family and yes he was very clever in misleading the enquirey by being technically correct but of course we all know the reality. I drifted off but was later informed that I was disfellowshipped. Not that I cared....
