Again, you are distorting things. I have actually stated several times that irrespective of whether god exists, it makes absolutely no difference to the fact that your word games about the name Jehovah do not make 'Jehovah = Satan'.

It comes down to what words actually mean. The fact that I do not believe in any particular entity has no bearing on that whatsoever.

As I stated on the other thread:

If I like chocolate icecream, and someone calls 'chocolate' blargle, and then someone else says blargle is 'really' strawberry, it doesn't mean I 'really' like strawberry icecream instead of chocolate.

If someone believes in God (the 'true' god, the 'creator' as taught in the Abrahamic faiths), and that person calls 'God' Jehovah (or any of the other names for the same deity), and then you come along and say that name 'really' means Satan (based on incorrect etymological relationships plus a whole extra layer of speculation to reach the conclusion), it has absolutely no bearing on which deity the person is actually worshipping, no matter how many word games you play, and no matter whether the deity actually exists.

You cannot state, ok, there was talk about a lot of gods back then 1000's of years ago - which there was - this Bible story has gotten mighty confused and mixed up (for whatever reason is irrelevant).

Again, that's just a lie. I've stated several times that the god Yahweh was worshipped as one of various gods among the Canaanites.

i was recently acquainted with the exhaustive - and blatantly inaccurate and crazy - theorizing by a "dr thomas", the "founder" of the christadelphians.. he was an earlier "contemporary" of chuck russell - and some have accused russell of "stealing" the christadelphians main teachings.

they're probably correct in their accusation.

christadelphians do not believe in the trinity or hellfire, are conscientious objectors who do not vote and who hate catholicism and are scathing in their views of christendom - although like all "decent" religious groups, jws included, have toned down their rabid attacks on other religious groups in recent decades.. dr thomas's quaint - and hilariously self-important - interpretation of scripture, led him on several occasions to predict the end of the world in his own day.

I wasn't talking about the UK. I referred to the United States in particular, but my statements also relate to general trends in Australia (where I am).

As regards a timeframe I would suggest around 10 years, though it would be interesting to consider various timeframes such as 5, 10, 15 and 20 years, each up until the present.

Some factors affecting membership in this period include:

Change in doctrines relating to 1914, faithful slave, anointed
Increased access to information online
9/11 / Iraq / Afghanistan
Global financial crisis

Lots of baptist/evangelical groups are growing. There is nothing particularly remarkable about JWs having some growth in places such as the United States, which is entirely consistent with many people leaving big religions and trying out smaller ones. The fact remains still that most JW growth, worldwide, is by birth, with pretty dismal conversion rates per member. And the retention rate of those born in to the religion is also falling.

A significant time period in history is the 911 attacks in New York which commenced a war upon the holy land. Read Revelations chapter 13 in order to understand its fulfillment of prophecy. The wild beast begin to reign after the 911 attacks without a doubt....the man of lawlessness was revealed etc. etc.

You're wrong. Changing the subject to numerological speculation and scriptural 'interpretations' about 911 won't make you less wrong.

There are so many different accounts as to which year this or that ocurred. No one knows for sure. A generation has to do with child birth. My evidence is reliant upon prophectic fulfillment, a known fact of the amount of years for womens furtility, and coincidental time periods........there are some that even dispute the amount of years that men have lived upon the earth so who knows for sure?

Your 'evidence' is based on speculative numerology and magical thinking. You really should just give up. Irrespective of any ambiguity, if you claim to believe the scriptures, then your calculations are wrong. On the other hand, if you don't accept the scriptures, then your calculations are irrelevant. Your dogmatic claims about fertility are also wrong.

Deflecting to speculation about Abraham has nothing at all to do with the period from David to the deportation, which has already shown you to be wrong. And if you calculate from the various traditional years attributed to the birth of Abraham (there's no real evidence Abraham ever actually existed) until Jesus for 42 generations then the length of the 'generations' varies from 43 to 47 years. You're just wrong.

And prophectic isn't a word.

You clearly have not researched this very well at all.

I should also note that whilst I used the year you provided (587) for the deportation when I said '450 years', the Jews actually reckoned the exile from early 597 BCE (prior to Nisan), several years prior the destruction of Jerusalem. So, strictly speaking it was actually 439 years from David until the deportation. So not only are you wrong about the length of 'a generation', but you're also wrong about the 'starting point' for the '14 generations' from the deportation until the alleged time of Jesus.

note: I came up with 42 years by multiplying three periods of 14 generations or 14X3=42 than compared it with historical facts....

note: You're wrong, and your basis for calculation is ridiculous.

The period from David's birth to the deportation, per the Bible, is 450 years. If there were 14 generations during that period (again, per the Bible), that would make your 'generations' 32 years each. You're just wrong. A 'generation' does not have any exact length. Give up before you embarrass yourself further.

And seriously, if you're hearing actual voices 'telling you what to write', please seek medical attention.

Yes is does.....it also coincides with the number of years a women has to bear children, which is around 42 years with exceptions of course, due to imperfection of the human body.

No. You're an idiot. The medically recommended ages for childbirth are from 20-35, but women can indeed have children older than 42. And your irrelevant quote about menopause says nothing at all about '42' having any significance at all.

And your 'generations' don't work for the period from David to the deportation.
