The Simplified version has the same pictures as the standard Study edition. It has simpler wording, but as a result, it has a higher number of words; it also includes sections for 'explaining some expressions', as well as additional 'pull quotes' (excerpts of the article in large text) on some pages. The extra content takes an additional 5 pages. As a result, the Simplified edition only contains the study articles and not the extra non-study articles (such as the 'give us money' article in the November 2013 issue) that are present in the standard Study edition.

They do so as a last resort, to escape persecution and find safety and security for themselves and their families".

I notice the very 'bold' action of the Liberal party of finally releasing their costings just before the election and after the advertising blackout started, leaving most people no time to actually examine them. Of course, he'll just lie like Campbell Newman did and make further cuts anyway.

Why cant you simply compare the two numbers and shutup ?

You're relying on a correlation fallacy.

Given KR reversed Nauru and the numbers rocketed, what does that tell you ?

Numbers "rocketed" in 2009 as a direct result of specific situations in Afghanistan and Sri Lanka. People weren't just 'lining up' at the 'people smuggler shop' and being told by the nice people smugglers that they had to wait for Australian policy to change.

It's clear you have your own political views, and extraordinarily arrogant to just call anyone else a liar when they point out that you're wrong.

The 'average Australian' is, according to your claim, apparently quite naive.

The Liberal policy did not stop the activities of people smugglers. The frequency of boats attempting to get to Australia is related to international factors and not directly related to Liberal party policy. It is not directly affected by, or directly comparable to, the number of boats that actually get to the Australian shore.

Where 'boat people' are taken to other places, such as Nauru, to be 'processed' as refugees, people still eventually arrive in Australia once their status as refugees is determined (and the vast majority are determined to be legitimate refugees), with some deplorable conditions for the refugees in between. It doesn't actually stop the influx of people, nor does it 'stop the boats'. Whether people are detained at a detention centre on Nauru or on the Australian mainland doesn't actually have any bearing on the real numbers of people coming to Australia by boat or how many are later released into the community in Australia. Claiming the Liberal policies 'stopped the boats' is essentially meaningless semantics, as is the claim that they will 'turn around the boats when safe to do so'.

But rather than actually analyse a situation intelligently, mP feels the need to resort to personal attacks and claims of 'dishonesty'.
