You have attributed statements to me that were actually made by asp59. I only responded to those statements.

Their doctrine about the 1,000 years is a complete mess with only very superficial biblical ‘support’. They do not believe the 1,000 years began in 1914, even though they believe Jesus began ruling then. They ‘justify’ this belief on the basis of Jesus described as sitting or standing at various times (because that’s how math works). They start the 1,000 years from Satan being bound, though they ignore the fact that Revelation says Satan is bound so he can’t mislead the nations that exist throughout the entire 1,000 years and are biblically synonymous with Gog and Magog (but not Gog of Magog). They also ignore the fact that it is the great crowd from all nations who rule as kings and priests for the 1,000 years, whereas the 144,000 would rule as kings (but not priests) forever.

but what exactly does that mean, or refer to?
specifically, what practice (or practices) of jehovah's witnesses does russia consider to be extreme?
I'm not sure that anyone in this forum would have direct insight into Russian government decisions.
It doesn't take much digging to find that the general motivation of the Russian government making an example of Jehovah's Witnesses is that they don't want US religious sects affecting Russian people.
Of course, statements that "human governments" will soon "cease to exist" and that Russia in particular is supposedly a biblical 'beast', and that "multitudes will soon lose their lives" could also play a part in Russia's view that some JW teachings are extremist.

No. The letter does not refer to 'kicking out' inactive JWs. Since earlier this year, the Watch Tower Society has made a distinction between "members" and 'those in the congregation', and these letters are consistent with that. The "members" of the corporation must, in addition to being 'active' JWs, be at least 18 and there is no indication whatsoever that the Society is saying those under 18 are no longer JWs, and they are still 'members' in the typical religious sense though not able to vote on matters of the corporation. (However, it is obvious that they do not want dissenting 'members' (in the religious sense) from being able to vote on matters pertaining to the local corporation.) Nor would it be necessary to tell 'those in the congregation' who is actually considered a member of the "corporation" as all could individually believe themselves to be members in that sense, but their votes simply would not be counted. JWs are generally trained to vote as expected on congregational matters anyway, hence the pre-printed letters indicating the motions 'were' carried. Notably, a requirement of corporation 'membership' is to be "completely in harmony with the doctrines and organizational arrangements set forth by the ecclesiastical Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses", therefore disagreeing with a motion ostensibly set by the Governing Body could disqualify corporation membership.
The other thing is telling the congregation that org maybe won't be around. They would never do that. They just lie and lie everything is great the whole time will selling out everything.
The wording seems to be more crafted around ensuring that moneys go to an entity with tax-exempt status, but even if they believed it credible that the New York corporation might be removed altogether, they would make all efforts to disburse the funds to their other various entities.

No. The letter refers to annual and special meetings of a local congregation corporation. It is unclear whether it is indicative of something similar happening in all US congregations.
Think the documents are fake. Or possible tampered with.
Doesn't seem to be any basis at all for that claim.

I’m not familiar with US water rights law, but it would seem that signing those rights to another party would serve as an encumbrance if a local congregation wanted to later sell their hall independent of the watch tower society.

It is clear from the extended analysis that the description as ‘useless’ was in regard to the perceived legal weight of the documents rather than their provision on here. (However, I disagree with that assessment as those defined as the ‘members’ are familiar with the definitions that the analysis considered vague.)
The other comment about a ‘fake scandal’ was unwarranted.

i started out more or less in line with what many schoolars felt in both old and new testament studies and over the year my notes have flucuated with dates and probable authorship.
a few years ago i slid into minimalist or copenhagen school understanding of the texs but still retained a slight historicity of the prophets.

I used to figure Jeremiah might have some core preserved in his book due to the fact thjat the book is attributed to Baruch who was a historical figure. But sadly Jeremiah's words are 75% deuteronomist theology which places it very late. The rest is a mass of oracles mattching greek seers or historical narritives from Kings.
A core of the work is probably legitimate (at least to the period whether or not actually written by 'Jeremiah'). The Septuagint version suggests the version we now have is in a completely different order to the original, with the oracles against other nations that are now toward the end of the book originally placed between the first and second halves of what is now chapter 25.
Sadly Ezekiel must be vomited out also. ... The fact is the prophecy on chapter 38-39 point to a time when Israel is attacked by Selucids when Israel is under peace.
Ezekiel was definitely edited after the original writing (for example, the '390 days' was introduced later, and the Septuagint version implies that it originally referred to a 190 year period, which may correspond to the period from the fall of Israel until the exile referenced in Jeremiah 52:30). However, a core of the work probably was written during the exilic period, as it would otherwise more likely refer to the role Persia would play if it were composed after the Neo-Babylonian period - instead it only relegates Persia to one of the minor nations assisting the hypothetical 'Gog'.
i was wondering if any of you experts on statistics and trends etc could answer the question above ?.
if you know how to do it, if you can extrapolate a true figure for the falling membership in areas that are internet connected, then we can say " by the year **** they will be so small in the internet regions that they will be on the brink".. i have put this topic in " scandals and cover ups" because it seems to me they are trying to hide how many are leaving, and how few are joining in the areas mentioned.
the non internet places will not contribute much in the way of $$$, so however the figures change for them, up, or down, makes little difference.
There is not enough information available to make an accurate prediction, though the last few years do suggest they are in decline in many developed nations. ‘Active’ JWs make up about 0.1% of world population, and more than half of them are in fewer than 10 countries. So they’re already not relevant in most of the world. Even in countries where they are (marginally) more prevalent, at least some of those who ‘report’ are ‘PIMO’, and would leave the denomination in a heartbeat if they weren’t trapped by emotional manipulation induced by the threat of shunning.
