I noted this inconsistency in my review of the Pure Worship book (relevant section here). The scripture alludes to a cull of animals, but the Watch Tower Society apparently wants to make God seem a little bit nicer, just making the animals 'friendly' rather than killing them off.

Why is there a large cat in this picture?
by slimboyfat ini wonder if anyone can explain this.
ezekiel 34:25 says .
and i will make a covenant of peace with them, and i will rid the land of vicious wild beasts, so that they may dwell securely in the wilderness and sleep in the forests.. the land is said to be rid of vicious wild beasts, so why does the watchtower picture in the new pure worship book show a large predatory cat on the tree in this picture?

HowTheBibleWasCreated:
Sure Lloyd made a funny video on 1 Samuel 15 with his famous "Stab, Stab Stab, Death, Death Death." comments. The fact is that if you read the same story in the Iliad no one would complain
And if anyone out there starts saying that you’ll die if you don’t believe and respect everything in the Iliad, that will be a valid point.

They didn’t trot out the old story of someone finding a mystery envelope with ‘exactly the amount they needed’?

‘Once, I started watching this video on YouTube and I didn’t really like it so I stopped watching’.
Yeah, cool story.

Some people seem to follow their preferred YouTube channels with a cultish mindset, and complaining about others. Whether it’s Lloyd or Kim and Mikey or various others.
These people provide information that anyone can watch for free. If you like it, watch it. If you don’t, don’t. If you don’t like long videos, just watch the short ones. What’s with all the complaining?
It’s ridiculous to expect that all of a YouTube channel’s views will exactly reflect the opinions of the viewer. And complaining that videos are too long is pointless. If someone has tied you up and forced you to watch a video longer than you want to, that’s a matter for the police. Otherwise, what’s the problem?

The King of the North and the South, who are they now?
by Anony Mous ini know several wit-lesses that to date are researching these topics.. however i haven't heard much from any publications recently about it, i think the latest refresh was ~10 years ago.
since then the power of the us has severely diminished (or at least the rhetorics about it has), russia is a small potato in modern era, the eu is a cowardly dog in the eyes of everyone and we have the rise of china which is as far as military might is concerned, a paper tiger.. we also have the rise of islam, especially since the end of the nato nation-building effort in afghanistan which is now in power in most of the middle east and africa, as well as regions of asia and growing strong in europe.. does anyone have noooo light about these developments.
is islam the king of the south?

Rocketman123:
The King of the North in ancient biblical times is relating to the King of Israel and the King of the South was referring to the King of Judah.
No. As used in Daniel, the ‘king of the north’ refers to the (Syrian) Seleucid kings and the ‘king of the south’ refers to the (Egyptian) Ptolemaic kings. The story in Daniel chapter 11 traces those kings from around 333BC to 164BC.
There is no identifiable association to any modern day country accept within imaginative delusions.(via prophecy)
Correct.

Well said.So if you don't like the views people hold and run to read the very views you hate just to whine about those opinions.

Rattigan350:
It is the same as it has been since the 1950s. Nothing has changed. Russia and USA.
Essentially yes. And on that basis, it’s not hard to see why the Russian government would ban a sect that is not only ostensibly American, but also says USSR/Russia is a biblical ‘beast’ that God will soon destroy (in a totally non-extremist way).

Increase = Jehovah’s Blessing?
by Reservations ini’ve been trying to find any recent quotes that say the increase in witnesses every year is evidence of jehovah’s blessing on the organisation.. i know the ready made excuse if there is a decrease is “love of greater number will cool off”….
after splanes talk i can feel a significant decrease coming..

Reservations:
But does anyone have any quotes from the organisation recently that says “increase of publishers = Jehovah’s blessing”?
It depends on who you ask...
If you ask the Watch Tower Society, growth is not necessarily evidence of God's blessing.
The Watchtower, 15 September 2005, page 8:
Although numerical increase is not in itself proof of God’s blessing, it does provide evidence that “the hand of Jehovah” is with his people.
On the other hand, if you ask the Watch Tower Society, growth is evidence of God's blessing.
The Watchtower, 15 July 2008, page 5:
This remarkable growth is one evidence of Jehovah’s blessing on the efforts of his people in the house-to-house ministry.
The Watchtower, 15 June 1987, page 18:
As for more recent, their growth has barely kept up with population growth in recent years, so don't expect them to boast too much about it. That is, not until they can misrepresent the stats in next year's 'Service Report'.Jehovah’s blessing has undoubtedly been abundant, as evidenced by the spiritual and numerical growth of his worshipers.
