tootired2care --- I'm sure evil religions are protected (as always) but I'd sue them and contact every lawyer & lawschool in the country (there's always a lawyer out there to try something) to hold the cult responsible for selling lies hurting your parent's financially --- especially if the burden falls on you and the taxpayers. This information needs to be made public --- they cripple families and grow wealthier hurting the country. This garbage has got to stop.

before i express my opinion to the readers and contributors to this website (www.ex-jw.com), i would like to explain who i am and to present my bona fides as someone qualified to comment on this website and jehovah's witnesses in general.. first of all, i am an active jehovah's witness living just outside of new york city.
being a large metropolis, new york has many kingdom halls located within the city and several more in surrounding boroughs, counties, and suburbs.

My Daughters House Burned Down
by Babyruth inmy daughters house burned down and her and her husband and three children got out with just the jammies on their back.
when her husband called his parents ( dad is elder and both parents are regular pioneers) the next morning, they told him they were sorry that they were unable to come and help as 'big wig' brother, head of the branch had just died and they were going to be with his grieving wife and son!?!
it's been a week now and they are still a no-show as they are too busy with their bible studies and service to even see their son and three grandchildren.

Can't believe this topic isn't the #1 out of the gate here.
Did these other dudes leave behind books for us to follow in life --- love thy neighbor, enemy, forgive --- stuff like that. This really helps but I rack my brain comparing Jesus' words to psychology in my head like stand up to evil, (and get your head blown off), give to those disadvantaged that work for you and around the house (so they can hate you more) --- ok i'll stop for there. We are of course to be cautious as a snake (NWT) and i've probably dropped the ball here. I have to say Jesus' words keep my blood pressure stabilized.
