Yes -- I heard the same crazy and knew a couple without children and she felt they had no time for a dog or pet since they were committed to the cult -- she didn't work but auxiliary pioneered now/then. Wasn't there a cult WT article couple yrs. ago about dogs (pets?) and all the negatives of having one. Miserable, selfish, cult, wants all the JWs shekels, time, life.

CORNEY - I don't think it should be frivolous and iRRelevant when they're under the laws of a tax-free religious organization claiming they're a religion doing no charity. They're a tax-free charity but since they can mention a god's name from Zeus to Pluto/Plato/Playdough, whatever, they RAPE and skate. More of the same good ole boys network running the country. Makes sense. Hard to imagine membership isn't plummeting between the aging adherents, poor youth retention rate, internet and religion's downfall in the country. Guess shunning is quite the successful tactic.
