whether a christian or his family pursues treatment from psychiatrists , psychologists, or therapists is a personal decision.
know of a couple of churches that have clinical psychologists onboard to help their members. oh, that's right, w/tower doesn't have professionals as members (well, very few) or any referral assistance other than advise re/financial aid so they'll have free time to sell magazines to advance themselves inside the hall.

in late 1976, i had just turned 17. everyone in my family dropped out over the next few years, except a a brother who has been going strong his whole life.
my mother went back a couple of years ago and i live in the same town as she does and she keeps talking to me about it.

acts 4:35 "there were no needy persons among them.

this co-worker starts to say how expensive this holiday season has been for him and that he's still not done, and too bad when the day comes the family members will find fault or something else wrong with his gifts, and to make things worst, that the wife also was purchasing gifts with his credit card so he feared the january statement.. so, i jokingly told him that one way he can remedy that is by telling his family that he's been studying the bible and that he won't be celebrating christmas this year as he's studying to become a jw.
they all laughed loudly and the guy, second by others in the room, told me that i just didn't know how good i had it being a jw this time of the year.

Christmas certainly is a time of year when even pagans follow the command to look after orphans and widows in their tribulation --- when does the watchtower do this --- ahhhhhhhh, NEVER! isn't this the kind of faith that God approves of. many faiths practice this every day of the year, but the holiday season inspires many to give out of their heart to those in need.

but there are many things that are pagan that witnesses do observe --- the watchtower isn't a leader/religion to ban xmas.
the shepherds celebrated the birth of christ and are part of some nativity scenes. it's commercial but so are wedding anniversaries.
