by TheClarinetist ini'm too stressed out right now to write this as anything more than what basically amounts to a series of bulletin points, but here goes anyway.. girlfriend burned down kitchen.. landlord wants money for repairs (obviously, no issue there) by december 5th.. landlord is attempting to apply security deposit to repairs in order to force us to pay all repair money within the next 10 days (over $1600) per the lease.
is that legal without our permission?
also, can she make us pay before she's paid anything?.

Zid has to say "goodbye"... For now...
by ziddina inmy computer-support service has checked my computer because it's been rather "glitchy" lately, and the hard drive is failing.... so, i'll end up being cut-off from the board, for a while.... some of you have my personal phone number, if you need to get in touch.... **********************************************************************.
here's something else that's been bothering me.... we're going to fly out to see the in-laws soon - and i'm very uneasy about flying.... if something should happen to me, could you people please help find good homes for my animals???
they are all indoors animals, have been spayed/neutered, and are pretty good with dogs.... there are six cats - the seventh one, minx, will have to be "put down", as she is slowly dying of feline leukemia, and is far too "high-maintenance" for anyone else to care for.... but there's chomper - a neutered male, six-toed cat, somewhat feral but ferociously loyal to anyone who will be patient with him - and feed him wet food... he's a big, short-haired grey-and-black tabby... unfortunately, in the process of the hard-drive decay, my computer no longer recognizes my crappy printer, and so i can't load a pix of chomper... but he's a big cutie!!.

by talesin ini wonder how many posters here are not only in recovery from spiritual abuse (jws) , but other traumas,, such as sexual and physical abuse,,, or rape as a young person (ie, child or teen).. .
how many of us are recovering from double - or triple - trauma ... ?.
anyone want to share?.

rebel8 --- I agree w/you about enemas used to tortured children. I recall one of my psych books (60's maybe) saying mothers used enemas as power to gain control over the child and wield their authority. Maybe some of these evil mothers didn't have a mean husband to maim/traumatize/beat the children and this was their method. Sick!

Will the WT stats take a dive in 2014?
by Aussie Oz inwhile looking through stas charts on jwfacts i notice two charts of publishers through the years.. on them, it is very clear that growth fell off the chart after 1975 and dropped dramaticaly again at 2000.. we know why for 75 and remember that many understood the big a to come by 2000.. will 2014 mark a subconscious and hopefully conscious psychological reaction from jws and 'interested' ones i wonder?.

there was no shortage of places where demons were hiding, ready to possess those who stumbled upon them.
is there any religion on earth more superstitious (aka demon-fearing)?

YOU ARE ALL VICTORS in LIFE. This is heartbreaking and i'm crying a river reading your accounts.
I have a psycho, evil, aged, egg donor w/dementia, and it's all I can stomach dealing/arranging for her care and making sure she has food, meals, shelter, meds and makes it to appointments. I wasn't raised in the Watchtower and can't believe that a place of worship would encourage child abuse/hate but it goes along with everything about those demons at the tower. I hope you all document your statements and it's all over the internet, billboards, flyers -- anything, or do a book like the adult children have done in the co-dependency, 12-step textbook. There are some real losers called parents in the world and the last thing they need is a religions' (magazine distributors) abuse directions. It all makes me sick and I think all parents should be watched and I really don't care how it's done or what rights they think they have.

What all does it mean to "get out of her"? Do you need to formally disassociate?
by ataloa inthis has been nagging at me a little bit; i left 10 years ago, but am not df'd as far as i know.
i recognize the fact that this organization has no authority over me so would not bother with a letter just for them to clean up their records.. but to obey the bible command, is it enough to no longer be a part of it, or is it important to show god where you stand with a formal act of withdrawal from the organization?
what are your thoughts?.

Mother is narcissist/psychopath. One evil woman and is a completely different person to the outside world. Also, have an conniving, jealous, manipulative, sister who suffers depression/anxiety. I'd say she's narcissistic and a shrink told her she's bi-polar but I'm not so sure.
These people certainly make life difficult yet it's amazing how good the narcissistic, psychopathic mother's physical health is -- go figure. I've only had dealings with her lately to determine she and her husband's stability/mental capacity to go on living independently vs. assisted living (wouldn't ya know, my responsibility), and if there wasn't a need for this I'd stay out of the picture completely which I've done as much as possible for years. With any luck at all, I'd rather never have to see her again.
