  on my introduction post a few people expressed interest in how the worldwide church of god (wwcg) imploded.

  i think maybe in hopes something similar will happen with the jws.

  i think the jws will also eventually experience a meltdown but probably not in the same way since the power structure was a bit different.

  Interesting and Welcome. Knew a witness who claimed she was reading/studying all the WWCG literature when she met Louis Armstrong's sister and was recruited by her to the Witness machine or maybe I've reversed it but she took piano lessons from Louis' sister and either Louis' sister recruited her or she gave up the WWCG studies w/ Louis' sister. Anyway, she ended up a witness and said the witnesses had the truth and was relieved. I tried to block out as much as possible because she was so negative about any other religion.

  as you know, very big things are happening in regards to the watchtower on a weekly and even daily basis.

  they have stepped up their hatred towards those who have left, strengthened their stranglehold on those still stuck in and continued with their harmful policies that damage families, protect pedophiles and sacrifice children.

  I agree w/you jamiebowers -- good must stand up to EVIL and protect the innocent and not go ostrich. There's so much evil to deal with re/this cult and there's power in numbers.

  Randy you were smart to bail out of Bethel even though you were in love w/someone --- you were strong! Unfortunately, that's why my family member went back in --- aint that love just something! The brainwashing takes over along w/love of mate (the carrot) and seems hopeless one could ever be free (parental concern) especially when they're so responsible as human beings and loyal --- OMG! Would never want a good marriage to dissolve and know in this case my family member(s) was not raised in a toxic or disadvantaged environ but much the opposite. There's obviously some very good husband/wife material inside those miserable halls evidenced from many posters here.

  I've started reading the "Combatting" book and info all sounds familiar and like Miles3 have the "Releasing" to tackle next.

  Have to rely on their happiness in spite of my own personal hatred for the cult.

  Great info and agree wholeheartedly. Does this mean I don't have to read CCMC and the Releasing book --- I just can't get into it (maybe you'll post a crash course) but I think my schedule/commitments has dictated the reason and if I have 2 extra minutes would rather come onboard this site and read the cult is being destroyed. Surviving the consequences of having joined the cult are tortuous and those innocent one(s) (qualifying as practically "born ins") we dragged along is heart breaking.

  I desperately try to be positive about the cult other than losing it a couple of times.

  Thanks for taking the time to post this.

  A petition that really works! Change the law to bring the WTS to its knees!

  i know that most people on here dislike the idea of a petition, but i think i finally realized a petition that could really work.

  in the candice conti case she was allowed to start a civil lawsuit that was way past the statute of limitations.

  because california has changed the their civil statute of limitations in sexual abuse cases.. so how do petitions come in?

  EXACTLY how I interpreted their subject titles --- they're telling our families to safeguard their hearts from us the truth. Fine by me but I'm safeguarding my moolah from the cult EVER getting it -- LOSERS!

  doof -- it works on slugs like me. I leave everything I'm dying to do until the end of the day and then I don't care. My friend couldn't complete her book -- she'd dilly-dally'd for few yrs. with it and I gave her the tippy-poo and it worked. I've not been successful w/method (it did get me off my butt to organize my closet) yet but I will try. Guess I need more intense therapy for slugs.

  BabYaga -- you can google my friend's book --- it's Homer the Helicopter. I'm so proud of her and she's not signed up w/an agent but is going to head out to Vegas and I'll have a book signing for her. I think a couple of book stores at airports (I'm not sure).
