A bit off point, but does anyone remember an intermission between the school and service meeting. can't remember the total length of meetings back then, but it must have run a little longer to do that.

by metatron inso, the new arrangement for meetings includes a jam-packed ministry school/service meeting and book study that ends at 8:45pm in many halls - unless they go overtime!.
these geniuses tried to create a family night because they realize witness families are falling apart so they created an awfully long meeting instead that will often take place on a thursday night - just prior to friday when countless kids have tests in school scheduled!.
good for them!

In which year were publishers allowed to report only 15 minutes?
by jwfacts ini am trying to account for some of the growth trends of jw's and was trying to find out when jw's were first allowed to report only 15 minutes field service in one month.
i think it was early 2000's but can not be sure.. .

Something else to consider is that this was not so much to get more hours for the borg as it was to NOT cause the older ones to become depressed that they were no longer "one of Jehovah's witnesses". The facts show that it is not dedication, it is not baptism, nor is it anything other than an active publishers record card in the congo files that constitutes one as having jehovah's favor, as making one a witness of jehovah. As a result if an older one was not able to get at least an hour for the month after six months they were inactlive, and as such felt they had lost their status. The reason they felt that way of course is the way the system in the org treated them over the years, Everything about the person in the truf is measured against their performance in the ministry. You could spend many hours helping in the congregation, perhaps helping some of the elderly, visiting them etc., or doing other good deeds, but fail to hand in a report and remain an active publisher, you quickly become viewed in a negative way and it is obvious enough that you feel it. Trust me, I've bin there.

witnesses don't hear so good

i mentioned the cost of gas excuse for the book study change and how now it is gone so low and while sort of acknowleging it he immediately goes of on a tangent about the changes in the forestry sector.

I was talking to a witness today, and when talking about how quickly things can change. I mentioned the cost of gas excuse for the book study change and how now it is gone so low and while sort of acknowleging it he immediately goes of on a tangent about the changes in the forestry sector. Since the slow downs etc. he cites how paper costs have spiralled. But according to him (sounds like some story he has heard) the society with their superior insight bought up large amounts before the prices went up. Then he concludes with 'what do you expect, the brothers are always way ahead of the world". So the misread on the price of gas on their part is hohum but this thing with the paper makes them genius. I didn't hear or read anything on the paper issue myself, but have noticed if they fluke out on something that makes them look good, they make a big deal of it. On the other hand when they mess up you only hear about it if you have inside info. They never admit to the things that are embarassing.

they have a section about famous and contoversial people who are either from that town or who visited it.
there were several people mentioned in that column that were ministers and that the town hosted the national conference of free will baptists back in 1941.. .

by Witness 007 inyes it was choke full of witnesses even the brother giving the public talk on sunday, so for a ma 15+ rating with lots of violent killings why were they there?
and sooooo friendly to us with the "love bombing" ......my wife sort of falls for it but i just want to chew my own foot off and run......i was the 007 legendary "love bomber" no one escaped my puppy dog eyes!

I am surprised that any agree there is no censure from the society. If any think that these movies mentioned are "Up to individual discretion" then next time the curcuit boy comes around invite he and his wife to go along to one of them. Me thinks that would clear up the discretion issue.
