Stupid cat did the enter thing before I was ready....her Kindergarten JW buddy from 1995 contacted her over facebook tonight. S I hhe's been df'd and was trying to find her knowing that I had been df'd. She appologized to my daughter for shunning her after my df'ing. (She was baptized, my daughter wasn't - both the same age.) I feel so proud of her. She's being shunned by her mom, step-dad and 5 siblings! I hope my daughter can help her through this.

Anybody else drink too much alcohol and want to stop?
by new light ini have been drinking heavily my entire adult life with the exception of about two very happy years and i feel it is now time to try and put it down (again).
it's hard, though, as there is no one to impress except myself.
last time i quit, at least i worked with some sober people whom i found much more relatable with a clear mind and that provided at least a little more inspiration to continue.

by Simon inyes, that's right, they really do not like people being able to read that book so they wanted links to it removed (it appears they have also been going after the hosts of the content itself as well).. unfortunately, i had to removed the links (which were dead anyway when i checked) and i'd ask that people don't re-post them (sorry).

This crazy religion had my RN mother out delivering babies "under ground" with a JW doctor Campbell in the Vancouver, BC area in the 1970s when there was an issue of Rh incompatibility. Incubators (and other equipment) were kept in our home...hid in our home...which was too small to be hiding things. I remember 1 baby, a boy dying, and that being the last "underground" delivery they ever did.
Fast forward 1994...my sister has a baby. My sister turns out to be RH neg. What does my sister take? The Rhogam shot. A blood product. How does my mother right this in her mind????

i give them the instructions the dr. gave me...and then...they say to me..."oh, i met your parents...they're so nice.
they came over to our house with another couple.

Excuse me... my parents live over 300 km away from me, never met these other JWs I've known for the last 10 years through work! and my own parents, in my town for a week never bothered to contact me or my kids!!!
Geeze, they can exclude me for my df'ing, but why should I learn from someone at work, that my parents were in town and didn't even think about letting me or my children, or my husband (not a JW) know that they were here. How offending is that???
On a good note, though. The JW patients had nothing but good things to say about me to my parents....HUH!!!

This post got me thinking about just how long I lurked before I posted. I was df'd, but was ready to return. I had corrected my "brazen" conduct and was thinking about going back. But something told me to google what I intended on going back to.
When I first stumbled upon this site I was angered about what I read negatively about the ORG. However, being a 4th generation JW, I quickly came to the realization, the truth was, they were right. The "truth" is nothing but a "snare and a racket," and that that I had been duped for 35 years, and shunned for 2 for nothing but a lie. I laughed at the satire of some posts. I cried at the pain of other posters for what they had to go through and knew they were telling the truth, because I had experienced some of the same. Then I cried that I had lost my whole belief system.
I had to rebuild myself. Redefine myself.
It took me 5 years of lurking before my first post.
I was thinking, just how long did it take most of you all to make your first post here?

I only ever told the truth. All I wanted from the JW world for my abuse was "hey, we talked to him, he's repentant and says he won't do it again." Does that happen? NO!!! "It's been dealt with" "It's in Jehovah's hands" are the only thing you are told. As a victim, you love Jehovah's organization, you trust it to do the right thing...but, NO, it doesn't. The next thing you see is your abuser walking around the assemblies with his attendant badge on. Jehovah's holy spit at work. You feel abandoned by Jehovah...and then you come to the realization it's a farce! You know you told the truth, but they're trying to make you feel CRAZY by their non action.
My ex-father-in-law had a baby with his daughter. The abuse went on from the time she was 4 until 17 when the baby emerged. By ex-sister-in-law is still a crazy JW who's never reported her father to the authorities like she should have! She's trusted in Jehovahs holy spit....but looks like a cult member. Her own non-jw family want to get this man arrested for what he did. BUT what was he when I met his son - an ELDER!!!!. The product of the incest was 15, daughter and daughter (GRAND) were still living under the same roof...and voila f'n pedophile is an ELDER!!! I kept my 4 girls away from that retard, thankfully having my ex-husband's blessing. The only time my kids got to see his parents was when my stupid JW mom took them to see them!
Such a f'n stupid excuse as a religion....
Oh...and then there was the case of a son of a JW who raped working women along King George Blvd in Surrey, BC. My mom actually advocated to get this ass*** out of jail, because he was studying to become a JW. His mom was a JW and a friend of hers.

My brothers and sisters have had even GREATER evil brought upon them, from being thrown to the lions, to the German concentration camps and the African countries, the Muslim lands, etc, and dying, grow even stronger in their faith!
That's so not even remotely related to what happened to Lady Lee. Lady Lee was subjected to something horrible through no fault of her own. These people you speak of brought it upon themselves to to their faith in a book publishing corporation.
