So the question is . . . Is there life . . . after the termination of life?
I am more prone to wonder, "is life the physical or the spiritual?" Are we really just a balance of the right chemicals and nerve endings to wonder, or is there more to it then that? I think that the physical dies, I think the spiritual lives on until it decides to take new paths.
i have noticed from reading over this site and from having contact with former witnesses in my personal life, that a lot of time is consumed in the beginning of your exit from the witnesses, with finding further reasons to hate or dislike the jehovah's witnesses.
with this i was wondering, is this done to give yourself more reason not to return or is it an expression of your freedom to find out what you want without borders.
from a pure psychological stand-point, i am prone to wonder if it is a means of feeding an inner anger to bring one a faults sense of security, when they are challenged from within to decide if what they are really dealing with is correct thinking or a path that is truly wrong.
Here is a thought to think about and perhaps something we need to realize when we express thoughts in a format, such as this board. My opinion is limited on this matter to reading what I do on boards such as this and speaking with the few former Witnesses I know in my offline life. I must say, to come a conclusion that former-Witnesses seem bent on finding negative, is not something that takes a stretch of the mind to come too. I could glance over only a few post to see such thoughts and although I do no think it is the best course, it is not exactly something I did not do. I remember my zeal for learning about religion (JW's) was almost as strong as my zeal to learn about the anti-JW information when I left. I think it is only natural. However at this point in my life, I have some respect for the Witnesses for different aspects that were not once there, but more so for individuals and less and less to I even see them as an organization as a whole. Respect for what? Having faith and a willingness to lay what ever it takes on the line to keep it! As in this day and age, with internet and news media expanding, that takes a lot to do and something has to be said for such determination.

I think that "spirit" and I am not refering to the one of Christianity, leads us to what lessons we most desired before this life began, both good and bad and often we take what we need and leave what we did not want to become what we are and want to be.

So here is how I come to be talking about Mormons in this post and I know it is odd. I was sitting watching television the other day and a South Park episode comes on and it is about a Mormon family moving to town and acting all loving and such. In so doing they are telling the story about Joseph Smith and how he came about to find the book of Mormons and to by surprise they got their fact pretty close from online research and I wanted to do this in kind of a, "did you know?" format as it did not know of remember this all.
Did you know that Joseph Smith, whom I will henceforth refer to as JS, said that American Indians were all white and were cursed to become red skin? Hello, ever study the Mayan or Aztecs? Not exactly the correct info there.
Did you know that JS claimed he had gold tablets with the book of Mormons on it and when he red it he had two seer stones, and in order to translate it to another man he placed the stones in a hate and shoved his head in and read the words? I nearly died laughing at that part. I am going to see if my Yankees cap will enhance the reading of the newspaper into some holy recording.
Did you know that when that man came home to his wife with the information JS read from the hate, his wife put the papers away and told her husband to return to JS and see if he could say the same things. Because after all if it was a holy writing it would, right? When JS was challenged to this he said God told him no and so he did not do this and said he would now translate a new book? Shouldn't this have been a warning sign, come on, is that really a faith builder? Made me think of Monty Python.
Did you know, that JS said the Garden of Eden was in Jackson County, MO (that's right, the USA), even though all science has proven that life started in the African area and most religions teach this as well? Makes me wonder about the Mormons facts in teaching normal education at BYU.
Wow! Just floored me when I heard it on South Park and I went to a Mormon at work and had to ask. Sure enough, it's all true. All hail Stan, Kyle and Kenny ... Screw Cartman! I just wish someone would have shown Mormons leading an angry mob to Southern Utah to kill Kenny. I know they are in Colorado, but that is a reference to something else the Mormons did. They do have happy families though.

I met a few old people in my day who would have said the same thing when I was out. Even after they let me end. Some might have thought I was meals on wheels or something. LOL
when i was growing up as a jw i had (as most others) a masturbation 'problem'.. the broblem more was that i felt guilty, and not happy.
this caused my concience to grow very weak.
because of this repressed desires etc, i would have done anything for a woman.
Maybe Satan used you to laugh in the face of Jehovah by saying, "look, your people think he is so wonderful and yet I have him waking off ten times a day and put a desire in his heart of pure lust ... I have him, not you!!!!!"
Sorry, but I would have answered that way as a Witness and know their thinking.

Mine, I am the most famous person I know, no matter where I go there are always pictures of me. I stepped into the bathroom and sure enough, a mirror with me in it, I looked in the rear view mirror of my car and again "me!" and then I got a bunch of fan mail looking for responses from me from the power company, the phone company and even several offers from citibank and magazines. So I must be famous with this much attention!
jehovah's witnesses do not believe or teach some of the very basic tenets of christian doctrine.
1. the trinity.
2. the omnipresence of god.
I have noticed from reading this board, long before posting, that often people come here thinking this is an active Jehovah's Witness site and not a place for former Jehovah's Witnesses. In so doing, I notice that they often drop bombs to convert what would be active Witnesses and do not realize they are in many cases wasting their time. Might be the case here, if not, it has been the case on other occasions.
