If Ron Paul was assassinated, I have a feeling the next revolution would be on its way.

Will six screens end up like the quotes site?
by seek2find inhow long before the lawyers attack the new sixscreens of the watchtower web site?
i don't want it to happen but i bet it does.
if it does i hope it gets a lot of publicity before it actualy goes down.the site is extremely well put together and has some info that i never seen before like some of the info on the cross.

Yeah, agreed, there needs to be a redesign. The site has a dark ominous feel that makes you think you are looking at something you shouldn't. This would totally validate a current JWs feelings that they are doing something wrong by looking at it.

Counting/requesting time how is that based on the Bible?
by restrangled inafter reading auld soul's thread on babtism and the request for over year for any one to justify the wbts' requirements based on scripture,...(with no answer), i started to wonder what are the requests for numbers from the wbts based on.. did christ request a certain amount of time every month for preaching to qualify for what he promised?
did he count those attending his sermons to justify what he was preaching?
what about the so called "pioneer" program?

They claim that it is so the Society can keep track of activity all around the globe, but if this were true, we could simply fill in anonymous time slips. No, for sure it is a "report card".

I'm confused about the e-jw forum
by *jeremiah* inso i stumbled onto the e-jw forum and began scanning through posts.. from what i understand the forum members are believing jw's,...right?
i've read through many topics/posts and it seems like their is much questioning going on there.
in the matter of a few moments, i came across discussions on freemasonry connections, wtbts occult connections, ct's pyramidology, "company men", 1914, etc,..etc.

Robert King believes Jehovah's Witnesses are God's Chosen people but that the Watchtower Society has become an idol and that the Old Testament prophecies of denunciation on Israel now apply to the Watchtower Society. Until recently there were hundred's of users on his message board, but a lot of them started having doubts on his interpretation and many questioned whether the Watchtower Society was really ever chosen by God at all. Many questioned central teachings such as the new covenant, 144,000, the anointed, etc. After about a year or so of this going on Robert made everyone that did not believe fully in doctrines central to the Watchtower Society leave the message board. While prophetic understanding are allowed to be challenged there, he does not allow the central dogma of the Watchtower to be questioned. Most of the people that were asked to leave or left voluntarily started a new message board centered on Christianity at http://www.paradisecafediscussions.net Think I covered it all. ;)

Hi "warrior". I still post there because there are many people I enjoy speaking with. It has little to do with believing everything Robert King or anyone else teaches. I occasionally look over here, but this place is rather bizzare itself. Plus I still like spiritual discussions, and for now it seems I can still have them over there.

That was my DC too. That place is pretty uncomfortable, but atleast it is in Houston. I went to one a few weeks earlier instead though, because of some friends I knew. Also I didn't want to be around my congregation when I didn't say "Aye" to the resolution.

Hi greendawn,
THanks for the swift reply. ACTUALLY what I am looking for was a letter ( I think written by Russell). It was a suggested letter that Bible Students could send to whatever denomination they previously belonged to. It essentially stated that they did not want to be associated with an "organization" but would rather only be known as Christians. Ring a bell?
Thanks.
