my wallet was stolen and that sucked real bad!

i went to work anyway, feeling so financially raped and downtrodden.

then.....what luck!

Luck has once again shined down upon me!

My little niece was riding her bike around the neighborhood and she found my wallet! The cash was gone ($10) and my credit card (cancelled this morning) but everything else seemed to be intact!

How come those bastards didn't steal my $300 phone bill?

Then.....what luck! My boss, Andy, called me and offered me a promotion with a real real nice increase in pay! Hell yeah! I'm so excited! I will get to do some traveling between the clubs in west Texas doin my thang!

BTW for those who do not already know what my job is, I am the promotions manager for a nightclub....er scratch that...I am now the promotions director for several nightclubs in West Texas!

CAN I GET A HELL YEAH!?!

I did something very stupid last night.

so yesterday was a bad day, i was feeling sad, angry and hurt.

as i posted on another thread my convention starts today and i decided not to go, well yesterday i get two calls one from a freind that wanted to see if i would go with her so she would not have to go alone.

I told her I had lost faith in all of the elders in our hall and in our congregation. I told her I didn't feel part of the congregation and that I had realized that the brothers and sisters in the hall only cared numbers, I told her that the reason I don't go to meetings is because everytime I walk into the hall I feel like I am going to be sick. I told her I could not stand being in a room full of people that profess to care about you but will drop you faster than a bad habit the moment you fail to put in ten hours a month

Wow that sounds like a great setting a sister could use in her talk at theocratic ministry school! Especially if her topic to work on happens to be "settings"

Hair Removal

have any of you had hair removal?

laser, shaving, tweezing, waxing, threading, etc .

hair removal for nose, butt, breast, ears, private regions....and whatever else.

I always feel so much better without hair, more womanly if that makes sense????

Of course it makes sense!

the intense scrutiny placed on the female body makes even previously "normal" hair growth abnormal.

influenced by the social meanings of excess hair on their bodies, we demand to have it remedied. Women simply cannot be hairy!
In other words, it has become naturalized. Few women question why they are embarrassed to be seen in shorts if they haven't shaved their legs in a few days. . The practice of hair removal has been going on for so long in many western countries that to not do it is seen as wrong, as breaking the rules of femininity and good hygiene.

I despise the hassle of hair removal. but I do it anyway because that is what society dictates as appropriate.

to all the mommy's out there...did you deliver vaginally or by c-section?.

i was fortunate enough to deliver both my children vaginally although i came close to a c-section with my son.

he was in the posterier position.

OH MAN! The sheer jealousy I feel towards you all! I have been trying for a few years just to get pregnant! No, have not been to a fertility doctor due to lack of finances........
