i have already gotten an email from someone stating that their gift arrived safely in the mail.

i thought it would be nice to start a thread where we can post what we got (for those nosey like me who want to know!

) and a thank you.. as for me, i haven't even begun yet!

What to do with those who abuse kids??

i'm sitting here in the serverroom freezing my buns off and the issue of the child abuser and what to do with him or her was being kicked around.

we got the standard shot the bastards in the head etc,.

should they get any treatment at all or should they just be shot?.

I "won" COC in ebay auction

i am pretty darn happy, i got the book for $13aud which is about $6.50 in usd, so i am looking forward to getting it and having a read.

i talked to my mum about it today and she is interested in having a look too.

(she is still in, but largely inactive) i know many here have read it, is it worth the look?

Just ask for the 4th. edition, published in 2002.

And yes, Crisis of conscience is worth reading. It will blow your mind

What should I say?

to refresh your memories, i was raised as a jw, as of the last few yrs my mom has been inactive (she's the only jw in the family).

i was never baptized talking and talking and talking, i felt insulted because i already knew everything we were going over.

however....winter break is begins next week, so i'm going home for about a month.

Tell her that you're studying on your own.... And with school and all, you don't have much time left to meet with her anymore. Tell her that "you're making sure of all things", that you came upon some material about the Society that you want to research in depth... like the pedophile scandal, the UN scandal, all the failed prophecies... must be so much more.... others will be able to add to this I am sure.
