Favorite authors?
by bebu infirst, i never was a jw, but since a dear friend of mine is one, i'm here to learn from the human elements in order to give her quiet assistance in leaving someday (soon, i hope).... i love reading.
my favorite author thru the years has been cs lewis.
i read narnia in hs, and loved the last book the best (last battle).

Guy de Maupassant.... just read A Woman's Life, and it is just great. What a writing style! I asked my family in France to send me the original in french.
Haven't read much fiction lately, besides The Scarlet Letter and all the Harry Potter books

The reason they all seem to live so long is that they had a life with no worries. They lived in their comfortable tower, with dozens of servants looking for all their needs.... They never had to worry about making enough money to feed and house their families, about cars, insurance, health care....
Who has a picture of Henschel ? I always mix him up with Jaracz...

cleaning advice??? anyone can respond........seriously.
by Mulan inmy mother's microwave oven has an unpleasant odor, tainting the food she heats.. about two weeks ago, she heated a cat toy (catnip), to refresh it.
she did it for 2 minutes, not realizing that was wayyyyy too long.
20 seconds maybe.

Ground coffee is used to deodorize drawers, cabinets, etc... I don't know how it could be used in a microwave though....

Baptism............and the war and stuff.

i have nearly finished the knowledge book, getting to all meetings.....want to be an unbaptized publisher.
our assembly is in july,,,,is that too soon?

How old are you ? Why is it so important to you to become an unbaptized publisher?
...and yes, this war is scary, and awful.... oh ! is that the reason ? do you maybe believe that this war is the beginning of something else ? like the Tribulation or Armageddon ? and that's why you want to be "in the ark" before it is too late ?

I remember years ago, when I used to get the visit of JW ladies quite often, and I asked them in and I listened to them and tried to tell them my thoughts.... as if they would listen.... I had just read Barbara Grizutti Harisson's book, Visions of Glory, and showed the ladies the book and told them about some of the things the author had written.... You know what their answer was ? well, you can't believe anything Barbara is writing, she's a lesbian, you know.... I was shocked Even is she was, what does that have to do with what she discovered by being at Bethel ? Grrrrrrr....

We have this ritual every night when it's time to go to bed : as soon as we go upstairs to the bedroom, our dog follows us, jumps on our bed and stretches with her head on one of the pillow. We have to push her to the foot of the bed or the middle to get in. She stays there 5 or 10 minutes then goes back downstairs...... on the couch. 6 o'clock the next morning.... she's back, licks my ears and my nose, telling me that it's time to take her out
