  omg!!!!

  there is a mouse in here....it is so cute but i screamed nevertheless when i saw it.

  i am sitting here in terror like the little thing is going to be able to hurt me.

  Last night, we had a bat in the house... I was watching a movie (Holes), and heard some fluttering, my dog heard it too, so we looked for the source of the noise... We found it hanging upside down from the corner of the upstairs bathroom door frame, cute little thing with big brown eyes, furry brown body and black leathery wings.... That's the second time we have to capture a bat and set it free.

  Mice, hundreds of them around our place. I mostly find them in the root cellar or in the grain bins (I have chickens and a rabbit). I usually scoop them up in a big plastic jar and put the lid on and then go out and release them away from the house. Once I sprayed one with a pink hair spray, just to see if it would come back to the house.

  What about toads and garter snakes ? I love toads, they're all over the garden, as are the snakes, just love them...

  My poor non-JW grandmother!! (long)

  i am so annoyed right now i could just spit.

  first, some background info: my brother's mother-in-law (a jw) seems to feel as though she has some special connection to my gramma because they have both lost their husbands.

  she's a good 10 - 15 years younger than gramma; and, truth be told, gramma doesn't especially like her.

  a couple of years ago i was part of an on-line writers group.

  a few of us got together and wrote an anthology of xmas stories called tales of christmas.. i wrote a story about my first xmas after leaving the dubs.

  the book is being published.

  when a jw enters a hospital for any treatment or surgery, he/she of course tells the staff that as a jw he/she can't accept any blood transfusion.

  now jacques has heard from good authority, that in european countries, the hospital liaison committee now gives the doctor or surgeon in charge of the jw patient a document from the watch tower society, that says that if their conscience dictates them to use blood to treat the jw patient, the watch tower society would not sue them, nor would the patient....

  Thank you Joy. Jacques sent me an e-mail with more details about one case that took place in France 2 or 3 years ago. I haven't had the time to translate it yet. I am outdoors digging the carrots and cleaning the rabbit hutch....

  Blondie, As I understand, the document is read by the HLC to the doctor in charge and this document from the WTS tells the doctor that it's up to the doctor and the hospital staff to give blood if they decide it's necessary, not obeying the JW patient wishes will not get the hospital into trouble. In effect, it says, give blood if you have to, we don't care....

  I can't explain it well, I just heard about it from Jacques, and he should be the one explaining what he has heard.
