  jehovah's witnesses have been growing, but not a whole lot.

  a peak of 6,429,351 publishers reported preaching in 235 lands.

  2day i have managed 2 get back on line.. incidently how every1 been keeping while i couldn't logon.. u might like 2 know every1 that i have working on how 2 crack the lottery.. i may have succeeded in a certain way.. .

  i got a visit at my house .

  well - i asked them a few questions they couldn't answer - so they're going to do some research and come back.

  they did offer me a free home bible study (cool - free!!

  ...they always say that... Why are there so many questions that they can't answer ? Mostly because they are not allowed to give their own thoughts and opinions on any subject. When they have doubts, they will go ask an elder or research some WT publications.... What annoyed me when they were still visiting me, was that I rarely saw the same JWs, always different ones... So I never got the answers to the questions they were going to research for me... Why is that ? Why a different couple of JWs every other week ? Why not continuity with the same ones that I have talked to before ??? Anyone has an answer ?

  What about Farkel ? Isn't he in the San Diego area ? Has anyone heard from him ?

  The pictures on the news are really terrifying. It's been pouring all day here, I wish I could send some of the rain your way !

  i have a bird feeder outside my window.

  it attracts warblers, sparrows, blue jays and multicolored finches , amoung others,.

  Wonderful post Metatron. So, you too are in New England ? I live in southern Vermont btw. I feed the birds too, I see more and more Cardinals, they are so striking, tufted titmice, nuthatches, blue jays, pink and gold finches, chickadees, woodpeckers, partridges, turkeys... etc.

  Bush Admin Bans Media Coverage of Dead Soldiers Returning..Why?

  why would the pentagon suddenly stop all the media coverage of our dead troops coming home?

  a little too close to election time maybe?

  i hope this comes back to haunt bush and all of his war cronies and i hope they can live with all the dead that keep piling up every day.

  On "The News Hour with Jim Lehrer", on PBS every day at 6 pm, every time soldiers have been killed in Iraq, they show their picture, with their rank, age, where they're coming from... It's heart-breaking... Most of them are barely 20 years old - imagine being the mother or father of such a young man who just enrolled a year ago, and now he's dead... When it's an older man in his 30s or 40s, you can't help but think about his wife and children.... I don't know if other TV stations do that....

  Edited to add - - - what I wanted to say, is that Jim Lehrer and his team seem to want to keep the deaths of the american soldiers (an almost daily occurence) on the front burner, to show to the viewers that there is a heavy price to pay for Bush's war...

  and yes, I mourn for the deaths of Iraqi children too.

  When is it time to put down a pet?

  i'm rather sad today.

  i've been putting off taking my old dog (14 years old) to the vet because i knew the news wasn't going to be good.

  it was even worse than i thought though.

  It is a difficult thing to do.... My 11 year old dog started to lose weight, went blind over a period of 6 months, started to wake me up 2 or 3 times every night asking me to let him go out to pee.... He never lost control of his bladder in the house, he just asked me to let him out... but being blind and weak, it was hard for him to get down the 3 steps on the back porch. I guess I grew tired of being unable to sleep all night for so long.... But the day I took him to the vet was horrible. I was devastated. 5 days later, I had adopted a new dog from the Humane Society...
