Two sex questions
by Seeker4 inok, have had enough to drink tonight so i will toss these two questions out.
will discuss this a bit more tomorrow.. 1. how many of you had sex outside of your marriage after leaving the witnesses?
provide whatever details about how and why that you're comfortable with.. 2. funny question: had a friend write me today that probably more jws per capita enjoyed oral sex the night they read it was a "conscience matter" than any other group in the us.

Seeker4,
I would never reveal anyone's identity.
I would never use any information I have about anyone.
I read, I think about it, I do not judge.
Hope you trust me! -

When JWs used to have FUN!!!
by Amazing inwhen i started associating in the late 1960s the jws were very sociable and had frequent fun events.
here are some examples of the kinds of events we enjoyed, why they existed, and then the reason they were taken away:.
sports: being involved in school or professional sports was frowned upon, so the brothers in the hall would arrange for sports for every other weekend.

It never ceases to amaze me.
What are the JWs allowed to do ?
It would be a shorter list than the things they're not allowed
to do!
Apparently, the only acceptable thing to do is go from door-to-door and "place" magazines.... Jeeez ! -

Holy S*** visit tomorrow from the PO
by freeman inif you folks recall, a while back i went ballistic when my boys told me they were going to now shun both their newly dis-fellowshipped friends because that is what the society said is the loving thing to do.
sick!
anyway, i informed the father of the two boys, an elder, that my younger unbaptized son (12) will no longer be studying or going to the meetings because i dont want him to participate in or have his young mind twisted by such unscriptural teachings.

Celia
Any way you could tape the meeting and transcribe it here ?
Or better, hidden camera, videotape it all and post it here ? -

JWS - the Self-Referenced Organization
by metatron inin media presentations and defenses made in court, witnesses are.
portrayed as having all beliefs and practises derived strictly.
from the bible.. many of us here painfully realize this is a fiction.
-
Celia
How true Metatron....
Most of us here know that.
It is so clear...
Die-hard JWs won't see it, or accept it, or even try to
research it...
It is so sad, they're so blinded ! -

Something Sinister About JW Books?
by Englishman inwhen i was a little lad of 7 years old, my parents would drag me - literally kicking and screaming - to the kingdom hall.
i used to hate it with a vengeance.. it wasn't just the weird language that i detested, but there did seem to be something of an evil aura about the place.
i recall the chap who took my parents bible study telling them that satan was working through me to try to stop them attending meetings.. it was around this time that i started to become fearful of being alone or in the dark.

When I read all those testimonies of people who grew up in a JW household,I wonder how any father or mother could do that to their own children. Anyone with only an ounce of common sense and real love for their offsprings would stop and think : God, what an I doing to that poor kid ?

"30 years a Watch Tower Slave" by William Schnell.
I like the book. A little outdated, this guy was a JW in the 1920s, 1930s, but I really liked it
