  i'm usually terrified of talking to american ladies on the telephone, then get completely gobsmacked when i hear that gorgeously sexy accent purring down the phone.. does anyone know what i mean?.

  if you could specify, which accents from around the world do you enjoy hearing lots of?

  can you use words to describe that accent?.

  Now that's a subject !
  I came to the US at the ripe age of 30 something...
  I'll never loose my heavy French accent !
  Some just love it.
  But mostly, I just am not taken seriously by most people.
  How can a non-american who speaks so funny be of any use around here, that's the reaction I get.... So, accents may be interesting, but not useful when you try to find a job, for example...

  i'd like to make a few points which i know i will be eaten alive for, but here goes...... is there really a devil?.

  history of religion has always believed in the devil, but has portrayed him in different lights....he himself transforms into an angel of light, making something that is evil seem innocent and fun.

  his best ploy: having people believe he don't exist...this is to his own advantage.. he is a malignant enemy of god and man!

  Violet is having a blast in here !
  She sure is getting a lot of attention.
  The attention of bright, intelligent people, people actually using
  their own brain and mind... She is not used to that at the KHall or with the ladies coming over for her Bible study.
  

  I do it, not for a reward but because Jehovah wills it, as stated in any bible and I'm willing to comply with his standards because I know he is the rightful ruler of us all.

  So, what are his standards ? What does he want you to do ? Sell magazines and obey blindly a publishing corporation, strange....

  Help! Recipes Needed

  this is a request for favorite soup recipes.

  due to a digestive health problem, i can't eat many solid foods.

  i'll be making up soup broths, etc.

  Lentil soup.
  Cook the lentils (cover with water) with diced carrots, celery, some onion, some tomato sauce, salt and pepper, one basil leaf, one or two cloves of garlic. Until tender. Take the bay leaf out.
  pass through a food mill if you like (I like mine with chunks, so I don't pass it through the mill. If you like, cook some salt pork with it, or add cooked italian sausage.

  a doctor had just finished a marathon sex session with one of his patients.

  he was resting afterwards and was feeling a bit guilty because he thought it wasn't really ethical to screw one of his patients.

  however, a little voice in his head said "lots of other doctors have sex with their patients so its not like you're the first...".

  My Mom

  8 years ago, today, my mom passed away as a result of ovarian cancer at the very young age of 48. i was pregnant with her first and only grandchild.

  1994 was both a difficult and blessed year for me!

  Pictures in the mags

  have you noticed the pictures in the mags and books, when showing a picture of a witness house in a western land where they are prehaps having the book study or some thing similiar?.

  how come the house is always well decorated with nice matching furniture?.

  according to the society we should all be giving up our jobs and pionering.. a more true to life photo if we were pioneering like the mags say we should , be a few boxes to sit on along with some unmatching second hand chairs and table along with the partly decorated walls in a bed-sit.. so why don't they show the houses of pioneers when they use pictures?.

  Great houses, beautiful interiors, clean, stylish...
  Nothing a cleaning lady and a janitor could afford.
  Nothing many of us can afford...
