a recent thread where people were recommending music for someone going through a breakup, reminded me of the movie high fidelity.. the main charatcer, rob lists his top 5 breakup albums (and songs too i think, does anyone know what they were?).

I think sea change is a good choice...slow, lots of break up material going on there.
Some of the saddest relationship music I have ever heard has come from the Red House Painters. (retrospective album).
But if I were a girl going through a breakup I would leave it to my girls from Heart circa 1976ish, to cheer me up. (dream boad annie and little queen)..eww...barracuda.

sorry peaches, wish i could help. I don't know about that jesus and the money makers bit...the bulk of my biblical knowledge and I parted some time ago.
As for the prayer in congress, I guess it goes along with the "founding fathers" being christians themselves. I use that term loosely as to not disrespect native americans who's genocide was basically mapped out by the successors of the founding fathers, also known as Lewis and Clark.
i just returned from ontario, where a family member died, i was reading the obit, and i know its been said millions of times, but this really blew me away.

yeah, its a very common practice now for people to include, within their funeral arrangements, a addendum for donations "to go to charity of choice" rather than dropping dough on perishable flowers. personal choice. but, I hear you, no one here wants to see the wts's wallet get fatter out of it.
im watching the bbc now, and theres a report about ex coal miners in poland.
they have no jobs, and so instead they attack coal trains, hang onto the side and pull the wagon doors open while the train in moving.
then people move in and collect the spilled coal from the side of the tracks.

I could get a flight, book into a nice hotel with towels, hire a car and look around like everything was OK, eat the local food in the resataurants, and maybe sit in a room with a nice coal fire burning.
There is so much history and gorgeous architecture in Warsaw, Krakow, etc. If people were as interested in visiting eastern european cities as they are western, they could have quite a lucrative industry going on here.

First, I understand you no longer wish to use the words, "war on terror", instead replacing the term to describe your one-man plight with the term, "global struggle against violent extremism." Did you think this re-jumbling of words would somehow make you look like less of an oil-hording, war mongrel, and more of just your average ole martyr on a friendly bomb-dropping, democratic-rule placing spree?
Secondly, what do you make of certain European Union members pulling their soldiers out of Iraq? I understand you may have been trying to pretend such countries no longer exist, as they have been deliberately sabotaging your cause, right? That's ok. out of sight, out of mind. But didnt the lack of continued support from the rest of the free world clue you in that something may be off here? Just a thought.

...anyway i got into it with my mom and most of the family being present and sided with her that their was no way i could remember that i had seen a particular snake when i was about 2 years old.
so fortunitly, i was able to recall a certain incident where i was at the end of our driveway about 75 yards from the house this being in a rual setting with alot of trees and, a car pulls up, i am on the passenger side and that door opens and a man says he is the postman and told me to get in because he was going to take me to the store to get some candy.
sounded good to me, i remember i wanted to get in but couldn't try then heard the sound of my mom's voice very sternly saying my name and to come here...--end of story--

My cousin and I were same age, grew up next door to each other, bf's as well. I flew home for her bethelite wedding. That was four years ago. She and I have not spoken since.
