how do you rate your yourself (mind, body,face & personality) on a 1-10 scale, with (# 5) being average?
no consideration given for age.
& please, no comments on the 'unimportance' of looks & no false- modesty!
Here's me <grinning>:
intelligence quotient = 9
body = 7
face = 8
personality = 10
I'm one charming pig! 'Much more than that Arnold on Green Acres.'

here's a guy who had too much recreational sex:
yesterday evening i journeyed into darkest somerset to give a prospective client a quotation for a fitted bedroom.
i juiced up at tesco's and zoomed off towards rural badgeworth.
while i was drawing up my designs with my customer, my mobile phone burst into life, playing "the sting" theme, which meant that this was an uknown caller to me.
This is not something I would have the police on my case for, but I have forgotten to pay for lunch so many times at the cafeterias at my university!
I don't know why, but it's quite easy to walk past the registers as if you had already paid.
I suppose since I don't look suspicious (unaware that I myself am stealing) no one bothers me.
I usually never found out until I checked my wallet later and found only one large bill. <scratching my head> 'Didn't I buy lunch today?'
The one time I caught myself early enough to go back and pay, the cashier said, 'hey, don't worry about it'.
Just my $5

i am going totally crazy without him in my life.
i miss talking to him for hours on the phone, i miss spending time with him, i miss being a part of his life.
it was my decision to end things, and i know he still wants to be with me, but i am still torn to pieces.
Hi Butalbee,
I think that an 'upgrade' rather than a 'conversion' is called for under the circumstances.
It will pinch a little, but its a wiser investment in the long run.

the friend that i spoke of earlier has many questions about scriptural misaplications used by the wts.
she is still a witness but is searching diligently for the true truth.
i have simpler reasons for not wanting anything to do with the borg, and have to be honest in saying i have not done alot of research on the topics she is interested in.
Hi Hungry,
You have an interesting question. I don't know whether my answer will confuse your friend. I am sure it will.
The evidence for Jesus' reign beginnining in 1914 is easily shown to be sketchy:
1. Michael the archangel of the book of Revelation = Jesus Christ. He is depicted as throwing the Devil = Satan out of heaven.
2. the book of Psalms: 'sit at my right hand until I place your enemies as a stool under your feet' is applied to Jesus.
3. Michael will 'stand up' (as opposed to sitting , I suppose) in the book of Daniel I think.
4. 1914 is taken also from Daniel, from Nebuchadnezzar's dream about the tree. '7 times' is cleverly used to extrapolate a date in modern times. You should attack this position. he he he. The method used to calculate the date is most suspect.
5. 'Gentile times:' http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/forum/thread.asp?id=10674&site=3
this is a recent thread which will help
All of these points come from various places in the bible for no apparent purpose but to figure out a date for Christ's presence.
Question the motives of people who interpret the bible in this way. (to me, it is a great account of societal development, no more)
Don't worry, if your friend wants answers and can't find them in WT literature, the ball will start to roll.

of course this is extremely personal but i am sharing it with everyone on the board anyhow.. i would like some feedback about my approach in this letter:.
1. how i convey my feelings about leaving 'the truth'; do i scare the reader away?.
2. should i mention armageddon at all?.
Thanks Ana and wonderwoman for your time and poignant remarks.
I will draft this letter a few more times before I send it, keeping in mind your suggestions.
And Ana, I will remember your words!
(i am still debating whether to send it)

why do kids love wellies so much?.
we went to buy liam some new school shoes and clothes yesterday and both lads wanted to buy some wellies - liam got green tweenie ones and dylan got red thomas the tank engine ones.. they wore them when we got home and didn't take them off till bedtime.
this morning they are both walking round in their pyjamas and ... wellies.
I am sorry, but I have never used or even seen boots for rain that did not go over your shoes.
I suppose wellington boots would be that exception.
Sorry for confusing you <bitter_sarcasm>
